We relandscaped the backyard this year, so no rink.

When it was cold enough, it was a thing of beauty. 20' x 30' - just enough for the kids to practice shooting and puck control.

When it was too warm, it was a giant pain in the ass. One year, I think we got 4 days of skating. Due to global warming and heat sink, Toronto is no longer a place to reliably build a rink.

Kids are now old enough to walk to the local outdoor shinny rink on their own.

I miss the backyard rink - but not very much.

Now I just have to figure out what to do with all the lumber I still have under the deck.

On vacation so I’ve been out of the loop.

I see Hutchinson is starting today.

He’s a long time Leaf fan as is his family from Barrie. Good for him I hope he does well.

I saw a video of some bumhole caught on ccv taking his dog out of the car with a bunch of its things, disconnects the leash, and gets back in the car. The dog runs to follow him to the car, he closes the door, and the dog keeps circling the car trying to find a way in. The dog finally goes to the sidewalk and the guy drives off, dog chases the car, and then the car stops at the light and jumps up to the car window trying to get it. Felt terrible for the dog...some seriously poopty people out there.
