Since it is usually good to buy stock when it is falling. Fletch should make a play on Comtois today. |

Since Hak was fired....
Sanheim's ATOI is up from 16:07 to 21:07
MacDOnald's ATOI is down from 18:21 to 17:21
Hagg's ATOI is down from 18:38 to 16:54
Lehtera's ATOI is down from 9:27 to zero - Feanor
Is that coaches choice though? Seems more like legal matters |

Patrick has played center and been a number 1 center pretty much his entire life, he knows what to do. He just needs to keep at it, he’ll be fine. - BiggE
Patrick was also the consensus #1 pick for most of his draft year. There was not much of a debate until he missed a few games and Nico started playing well down the stretch. I like to believe there is a lot of potential there. Hopefully it starts to show. |

Q: If this team sucks as-is...why do you care how far they tear it down?
For any quality talent you trade, you get a return PLUS cap space to SPEND rather than wait out bad deals.
If your scared, what is it about? Winning 26 rather than 17 games?
SO WHAT. It might accelerate the.....wait wait....here it comes ...PROCESS

Your going to have to trade value to get value.
A: We know the answer. There has to be change to this group....now.(or soon) |

Not every trade made is guaranteed to accelerate the process. The trades you describe would slow it down. A lot of the players on the team are part of the process.

Because tearing it down is stupid. This team isnt black and white
Just because the players play like poop doesnt mean they are poop. Players slump sometimes for a full year. By your logic the Stars should sell Benn and Seguin because they havent done anything this year minus last game
At the end of the day this team doesnt need a major overhaul. They need consistency from their young players
They need JVR and Voracek to snap out of their funk
They need the PP to get going.
They only players that NEED to be removed from the team are Simmonds, Weise, Lehtera, AMac |

Um, no. Although it was implied, I meant any large contract needs to go. asap.
G, V, Couts, Simmer, A Mac
Who among them are likely to be still relevant and useful when we are legit? Outside of Couts maybe.
Also, NOONE knows how long a process can/should be.
There can be many types of rebuilds, look at the Sabres who might have FINALLY got it together? Or the Pens and their quick pivot thx to that draft.
I saw enough of the tweener FLYERS (Good enough when stars align (2010) and awful (now)). To not regret the Hextall plan cancellation.
Get cheap young talent with good vets and a goalie, is what I am trying to say. Poorly |

For what purpose? We have cap space.
Simmonds is an expiring contract at just under 4 mil,
AMac is at 5 mill with only 1 year remaining and someone who has likely been on the block since Homer was fired....er I mean promoted.
Couturier is signed at a bargain price of 4.3 mill
You are literally looking to make a trade for the sake of making a trade. That is stupid and how you end up with a worse team.
You do realize Pens tanked for years right with multiple 1st overall picks landing 2 generational superstars. |

Cheap young talent needs to develop. That slows the process down, not speed it up. The more veteran proven players you trade for younger players is far more likely to increase the time frame it takes to become a top team.
I hope you're seriously not suggesting trading Couturier.

I get it.
If you want to keep those core pieces fine. I would rather start anew. Altogether.
I wish I was able to make some simulation with both theories and see who wins the most out of 1000 seasons.
But I cant. |

Not all young talent needs years to develop, man. That is my point.
Maybe trading G for 2 lesser pieces, and some clever drafting/signing would work? |

You keep G, Couts, TK, NoPa, Provy, Sanheim, and Hart I would also possibly keep Haag. You should get decent return for Ghost V, And Simmer. All the rest you take what you can get because they can be easily replaced. |

Nah, bro. It's cool.
They are not Carbonneau and Kane, man.
Empty points on garbage teams lately.
If they are not 2 Alphas, how are we going to get, develop, and sign 2, and still have CG & SC? In addition to everything else, while everyone is still young? |
