To be fair to Myers, he would need to
be heavily sheltered. He's better off playing top minutes in the AHL right now.

- MJL

No he wouldn't. He could play on the Flyers 3rd pairing right now.

I'm going on Saturday because my little girl wanted to go to a game so my parents got us tickets for XMas. So really, I'm more going for her.

It's sad, I've never before not wanted to go to a game. Before I had full season tix, I had an 11-game plan in 06/07, and I went to all 11 games, including the season finale. But that team was just either untalented or injured, they at least tried. This team is just flat and uninteresting.

I live in Nashville and all season long I waited for philly to come to town.. but then this season snowballed out of control and I'm not paying $400 to watch the flyers get dominated. I love the preds but I love my flyers more and I refuse to pay to watch them not compete.
Biggest disappointment of a season as I can remember in my 40 years of fandom.
Burn it to the ground. I hate to say it but I am possibly on board with shipping out Giroux if the price is right. I just dont see him leading this team anywhere. He is a complimentary piece to a cup team but not "the man" to lead a team there.
Provy will be that man someday

No it wasn't. He just simply wasnt better than other available players.
- MJL

You could tell he wasn't better than Lehtera or Weise from the less than an hour of NHL ice time he received? You must be almost as good of a judge of player ability as the Flyers ex head coach.

It's not going to make a huge difference to where the team finishes this season, but it could make a huge difference in the development of prospects like Myers and NAK if they get a half season in the NHL going in to 19-20.

Good point.

If you can get cheaper tix, go. Nashville is a very underrated fan base and a great place to watch a game.

Ship out the team's best player and captain who has a NMC. Great plan.

It'll be a good daddy-daughter day. I loved those - still do, actually.

Since Hak was fired....

Sanheim's ATOI is up from 16:07 to 21:07

MacDOnald's ATOI is down from 18:21 to 17:21

Hagg's ATOI is down from 18:38 to 16:54

Lehtera's ATOI is down from 9:27 to zero

I think NAK or even Kase could come up and play a bottom-6 role. With all due respect to Jordan Weal and Dale Weise, would we really see that much of a drop-off?

Granted, a move like that is nor going to turn the Flyers into world-beaters, but...well, it answers the question at least.

- jmatchett383

My thoughts exactly.

Once again, no moves to this broken team is tacit tanking anyway.

I don't see how he plays another minute until the thing in Finland is concluded.

That would be a sheltered role. Let him continue to play a top pairing role in the AHL

Totally disagree on Kase, he just started scoring recently, played overseas so still adjusting to the N.A. game. He is 100% better off in the minors playing more minutes adjusting his game.

What more is there to say about what Hexy created and now Fletcher is controlling?

One or two of Simmonds (hate saying that), Jake or JVR need to move on.

Would rather see Meyers playing in place of Macdonald even though I think MacDonald is a more than adequate 5-6 dman still.

My hope though it could be a nightmare is in the Summer we get a top overall pick though of course no superstar prospects in this draft then sign Bob and start next year with Bob and Hart as the goalies. In video game world that makes sense but in the real world it probably isnt good for Hart.

I hate what this team has become.

Also to me the only players I dont consider offers for are Giroux, Coots, Provy , Sanheim and Hart.

Everyone else I listen to offers for.

I have a hard time understanding why Gostisbehere is kept off of lists like these.

Same, he's on a great contract. I guess the other side is that he could fetch a good return but i dont think you can get his value at that cap hit via trade. It's not his fault he is relied on as a #2/3 when he should be a middle to bottom pair with O zone starts and PP time. We just don't have the depth.

I agree with you to an extent. In my opinion he is a bona fide 2/3. No doubt.

The follow up question to that is why could he fetch a serious haul? It answers itself.

Ghost & Jake for Panarin, Boone Jenner, and a First (baring Panarin signs a somewhat reasonable deal). We add a highly skilled player as well as some old school Flyer type with decent numbers. Colombus gets a couple really good players with term.
