It's also just too hard to ignore some of the patently-absurd things he does with the puck, even when it's against the Islanders who I'm pretty sure he has a 51% stake ownership of.

Yup. Definitely the best player up there with Ovie in the last decade hands down. The thing with Crosby and I guess any elite player is they just make it look so damn easy.

Same. My biggest issue with him was the 1st few years the diving and constant complaining to the refs. Definitely matured a ton. Now I just dislike him because he is the best player from the other team. I'm pretty sure thats mandatory

Me too, he's grown up a lot. Still can't stand to watch the Pens games on NBC though.

You know Ovie will be in the circle and Crosby by the crease, yet there is no stopping them. Those guys just know how to make plays.

Thats what annoys alot of other fans and can't blame Crosby at all, but they hyped him up way too much, its borderline obsessive. I get you showcase and promote your best players in the league, but the NHL went overboard with it.

Just think where this league would be if they spent less time on Crosby and more on Kreider....we wouldn't have seen any lockouts then

His face kinda sucks too, especially when he's trying to grow a beard.

Looks like the guy from Team America, when they try and glue the hair to his face to make him look Arab

I know we had some great runs with our core but it always just feels so discouraging when you see a team with players like Crosby/Malkin/Kessell/Ovie/Backstrom/Kuzy/The entire Jets, Leafs, TB teams/etc.

I don't care how we win but goddamn it'd be nice to have some elite level talent. Hopefully Kravtsov becomes that. Lundqvist has always been able to steal games but having a goalie take over games instead of forwards is way more stressful

I really think the Rangers overachieved in 2012 and 2014. 2015 reminded me of the 2011 Bruins cup team. They had Chara/Bergeron but Thomas carried them that year. Rangers never had a Kopitar, Doughty, Crosby, Malkin, Kane, etc.

The 94 team was loaded which is why they won

Makes me think of the last skit of jackass 2 as well, when they glue the pubes to his face and drive around in the fake taxi

Other than Pitt though none of those teams did anymore than we did. Granted Toronto and the Jets are young and just hitting their stride, but if anything, up until last year, I think we were 2nd in most playoff games since the lockout.

That was fantastic. He was getting them all in his mouth. And Jay Chandrasekhar as the taxi driver.

It's just a way more stressful way to win when you don't know where the scoring is coming from and you know your goalie is your meal ticket. If you win you win, and that's what's most important, obviously.

And now you know why I want more talent that the Rangers draft. Kravtsov and Chytil are a good start. But it's not enough. Howden is nice bottom 6 forward, Andersson will probably will turn out the same way. That is why I want Hughes or Kakko, same with next and Lafreniere.

Drafting is a nice way to acquire potential players. Sign the players that we know are solid and try to sign/ trade for the top talent. Either way it's going to cost something, can't dump a player simply because his current contract is up.

Yeah most of the time hasn't worked for the Rangers. Richards, Holik, Drury, Gomez, Redden etc. Panarin and Karlsson might be different. But the salary cap exists in order to create parity. I want players that will be cost effective for a handful of years.

I guess. I kind of look at it like if a teams best forward is slumping in the playoffs its very similar. Granted you have 11 other forwards who could potentially step up where if the goalie is slumping better hope the backup has a horseshoe up his ass.
