I am going to disagree with the 'playing to your strength idea... In my opinion it is defense that wins championships. When you are gifted offensively like us, that is great and you don't need to worry about scoring. But you do need to focus on playing d first and teaching young guys the proper system. It doesn't matter if you don't have a heavy team. You don't have to be 'heavy' to block shots, get back, clog up the zone, etc. Prime example 1 is Washington. A coaching change with a defense-first philosophy and they win. They basically had the same team and were trying to score their way to a cup and it didn't work...

Honestly, I am simmered down. Just disappointed in a few things that's all: poor coaching, poor decisions around depth goaltending issues, Matthews disappearing act, etc... I understand they are a young group and I don't expect any serious playoff success until they mature, so meh...

Notice how multiple Cup and Olympic champion hall of famer Shanahan chose Babcock? Maybe he's not a crap coach, they just can't go 82-0.

If you're this frustrated now, how did you handle the last couple of decades, cause for me this is totally awesome....
