A lot of the advanced stats are based on shot attempts instead of where the shot attempts are for.

Evander Kane would shoot from anywhere on the ice and while it looks like in analytical minds that he’s creating chances in actuality his high danger chances are awful.

Again advanced stats doesn’t tell the entire story.

Evander Kane has never been an elite finisher, he’s not even a good passer.

Skinner is an elite scorer and he’s not the best passer either.

Im not disagreeing with you. I think the points you made were all correct. On the basis of PPG though they were pretty similar. I think Skinner ending up here was a match made in heaven for us and for him. A top 5 elite finisher with a top 5 elite playmaker and Reinhart who is inching his way into a top 10 playmaker himself.

Skinner is an elite goal scorer who doesn't get many assists, Reinhart is morphing into an elite playmaker who scores at a moderate pace equivalent to Skinner's assists. Eichel is a top 10 player in the world who both enhances these two players skill sets, and benefits from each players prominent skills.

Honestly I was going to make another comment on how he managed to get another assist off a random bounce off his ankle but its happened so many times this season where he has just been standing in the right place at the right time its honestly just a unique talent in his arsenal. The points all look the same on the scoresheet and he's making a believer out of me slowly but surely.

He has to have as much puck luck as anyone I've ever seen. The deflection takes talent though I'll give him that. I'll take Reinhart getting 15 points this season off his ankle, A$$, arm or half a foot pass though. I just wish he could teach our entire bottom 9 how to replicate it.

He doesn't get nearly enough credit for being where the puck is. That's why he gets so many, and they absolutely are, ridiculous/lucky assists like the one off his skate tonight. I said it before, but how many times can you be lucky before it's more than luck? I mean statistically it's very unlikely to be that lucky for that long.
