Needs a bit more experience . 2nd half of the season would be a good time

Is he getting time on the 2nd unit?

Would be nice to see Sam pull a Malkin, like when Crosby was first injured

Switching from Jack and Dahlin in the slot positions to ERod and Okposo makes me cringe. I don't care about experience, they aren't remotely threatening.

Good article on The Athletic by Stimson on contract value for Skinner.
Using the net value of Dangerous Chances generated less those given-up and attributable to specific players; Ryan then uses that net value to compare to players with similar values...Marchant and our boy EK9er.
Using the contract as a percentage of Cap when signed..it points to an expected contract value of between $7m - $7.5m based on next years Cap of $83m.
He further points out using points and goals will skew it much higher...to over $8.5m.

His point is that there are other arguments to be made by Botts to help keep the final contract amount down versus rumors of $8.5 - $9.0m.

Let's hope so!

Edit: if Botts can keep the term to 6 years and pay around $8m, that would be great outcome IMO

Seems the guys that get paid to make the decisions feel a bit different .

I agree. E-rod was a good choice imo but Dahlin over OK should have been a give in.

That Pilut goal was all started by a key D zone draw win by Erod

The puck should run through dahlin on the PP if eichel is injured. If being the best option isnt enough then what better way to gain experience?

Pettersson became a 19 minute forward when the canucks were hit with injury, he remained that because hes good and they arent pretending whos team its going to be moving forward

And not just because of the goal. Looks to me that his all round game is great tonight.

At least by the eyeball test.

Sheary has to connect on one of those two opportunities.

Sheary has had several opportunities...I would mind trading him at the TDL if they can get a 3rd or better.
