Would you guys do Edler and Goldy for Kappy off of the Leafs? Maybe we need to take some salary off them to fit it but I feel that is a trade they would make. They get solid D and a young player with offensive upside and trade a kid who they can't afford to pay. Works for both teams... but has the potential to be home run for the Canucks.

My power just came on.

Pom pom waivers tend to overvalue players.

Leaf players should be valued at 50 percent.

If Pettersson keeps this up, and the Canucks sneak into the playoffs, not only is he clearly the Canucks MVP but he might get some Hart votes as well.

Goldobin needs 12 points in Vancouver's final 39 games to tie Baertschi's career high. I don't think that'll be too difficult

Don't disagree he was always better defensively, just saying it was also questioned

Goblin has ZERO points playing with Horvat (large sample size). He simply can’t produce jack sh!t without EP. bae can produce with Ep or Bo.

Sutter is back
- VANTEL

They're pretty strong down the middle with Sutter and Beagle in the bottom six, to go along with Pettersson and Horvat in the top six, but the wings are really lacking. Need a top six winger badly to compete, if that's what Benning's goal is right now.

"Large sample size" He had 7 points in 11 games with him to end last season, in 57 minutes of 5v5. This year they have spent 55 minutes together at 5v5

not a fan of 2 checking lines in the bottom 6, but Sutter is a massive upgrade on Granlund at C. Hopefully Gaudette is the long-term answer as 3LC.

Nor can he be a fit with Elias and Brock, as Elias would then have to cover up for 2 wingers with defensive liabilities.

Getting Granlund off the PP1 and then off the team is going to be the hill I die on.

I agree, but this team doesnt have another winger that can help produce with Bo( Sven, hopefully can help a bit with that), never mind a 3rd scoring line.

I agree, you don't need two checking lines and spending 7.375 million in the process, but they are strong down the middle if you ignore everything that goes with it.

Sutter is a good third line center, I imagine he has value around the league, but as you say, I'm hoping Gaudette can assume that role.

I'm not a Beagle fan for three million dollars, other than being good at faceoffs and the penalty kill he's terrible. Perhaps a good room guy but they're going to need to squeeze some pennies when Pettersson and Boeser's contracts are due.

I was thinking:

Eriksson - EP - Brock
Leivo - Bo - Virtanen
Sven - Gaudette - Roussel
Motte - Sutter - Beagle

Swap around Erikssoin/Leivo/Roussel/Sven/Virtanen as you wish(I kinda just threw in random pairings)

trade Goldy and/or Granlund for picks. Hold Sutter until someone overpays.

The cap is fine with plenty of room.
