How (frank)ing bad were we at the end of the 90's/ early 2000's?

Weber keeps guys from running around too much. he would not have prevented something like what happened last night. Pettersson wasn't Matt Cooked. he was hurt on a very non-violent play by an 18-year-old beanpole.
- DoubleDown

In no way am I suggesting Weber would have prevented that. What I was suggesting was that the Canucks have no pushback and the Habs as a whole have benefitted from Weber being back. I'd play differently with Weber on the ice both as a teammate or opposition player. Freak accidents in the course of play happen all the time and there was nothing malicious on the play

Malakhov had an attitude problem.

He's looking much better in that third pairing role.
- Scabeh

yeah they need to stop treating him like a versatile player who move throughout the defensive lineup. he's a competent 5/6 on his best days. and agree he's been playing well.

Once again well written. Good on you. I hate that I'm already resigned to MB overpaying Gardiner with max term because I'm a pure pessimist
- Takemedrunkimhome

Thanks man

Yea, I wouldn't sign Gardiner at the price he'll go for, but I'm sure Bergevin will be tempted but then again he stayed away from Jack Johnson this past off season when I was sure he'd sign him

I couldn't believe my eyes when RDS wrote this morning "he's looking like a guy that could be paired with Weber soon"

I think Mete is perfect there. He's learning and he's getting better.

they were bad but honestly i don't ever recall seasons in that era which were as bad as 2015-16 and 2017-18. those late 90s teams were shockingly devoid of talent. but the recent seasons were the the most miserable Habs teams i have ever seen in my life.

I said it many time, I do not mind him at all. Ridiculous salary, stick up for teammates to.

If the price tag is not crazy, maybe Edler would be a decent move for the playoff. (lets face it, Bergevin will make one)

I can't see Gardiner def prowess survive the booing fans here

About Buffalo, not about you knowing very little

You could agree about all of it. He's (frank)ing clueless.

why not? making the playoffs wouldn't be the worst thing. their lottery odds are going to be super long anyway.

if Alzner finds his way back into the lineup either A) Montreal has qualified for a playoff spot with a few games to spare or B) something truly terrible happened

Yes sir... imagine the money spent compared to the actual results with Johnson, Alzner and Schlemko all on the D, disastrous!
