Pink Floyd: Animals

I don't even want to talk about this team anymore. It's just too depressing. So, with that in mind, here is a list of 10 albums I can listen to at any time and they never get old:

Cream: Disraeli Gears
The Beatles: Abbey Road
The Allman Brothers: Live at the Fillmore East
Jimi Hendrix: Axis Bold As Love
Yes: Fragile
Genesis: A Trick of the Tail
The Kinks: Misfits
Rush: Moving Pictures
Pearl Jam: Ten
Rush: Clockwork Angels

- BiggE

Rush:Clockwork Angels
Rush:Moving Pictures
Better Than Ezra: Closer
Radiohead: OK Computer
Queen: The Game
Dada:Dada
Pink Floyd:Animals
Led Zeppelin: Physical Graffiti
The Beatles:Abbey Road
The Beatles:Rubber Soul

Solid list, for me I go.

Opeth : Blackwater Park (The namesake song from this album is one of The best metal songs I have heard with a list 4 to 5 mins that is just heavy as (frank))

Dead Can Dance: Within the Realm of a Dying Sun

Brendan Perry: Eye of the Hunter

Pink Floyd: Animals

Pink Floyd: Meddle (I still think putting on my headphones and listening to Echoes is one the best musical experiences)

The Animals: Greatest Hits (hard pressed to find a better song then their version of House of the Rising Sun)

Samhain: November Coming Fire (Danzig's three bands have influenced me as much as anything musically but this is my favorite)

John Williams : Greatest hits (Star Wars, Raiders, ET, Superman, Saving Private Ryan, Harry Potter plus others on one album)

Movie Score: The Village

Movie Score: Black Hawk Down

Movie Score : The Last Samurai

Movie Soundtrack : The Crow (great songs and atmosphere from my youth)

Good stuff, I could put a lot of Floyd albums on my list along with the 2 you mentioned, I love that band!

It's hard to pick just 10 man, for sure. Rubber Soul, Revolver and Abbey Road are all amazing as is Floyd's Animals, Wish You Were Here, Dark Side and Meddle and of course, I could probably just make the list with 10 Rush albums, LOL.

Also, The Game and OK Computer are absolutely fantastic albums as is Physical Graffiti.

Good stuff, Graffiti is my fave Zep album and I love everything Ozzy did with Rhoades on guitar.
- BiggE

Love the albums y’all are bringing up. I really didn’t listen to them much as a kid but I enjoy Fleetwood Mac now. I think Rumors was a good album

This coming from a guy who was Zep, Ozzy, VH and stopped at Metallica

They could actually get some help if Allison, Lacysnki and Farabee decide to turn pro
- J35Bacher

They should be concerned if Allison and Lacynski don't sign at the end of their seasons.

My big hobby besides hanging out with you dudes and arguing with MJL about timelines (LOL, kidding) is audophile gear.

Currently have a desktop setup based around Schiit gear maximizing sound quality for a classic rock playlist.

Closing in on a vintage McIntosh Integrated Amp that I should not in anyway spend $5k on to listen to music but what the hell. Only live once.

Was tempted to put Jeff Buckley on there but just with Grace being his only primary release didnt have enough material minus the other things that have come out.

When I am demoing my system to friends though I have FLAC versions of a few of his songs and a few songs by Norah Jones that shine.

Going to see Peter Murphy and David J from Bauhaus in Feb..cant wait.

bold = I agree

I'd replace some of your others with:

Genesis: Duke
Supertramp: Crime of the Century
Grover Washington, Jr.: Live at the Bijou
Spyro Gyra: Catching the Sun
Linkin Park: Reanimation
The Cure: Disintigration

GnR - Appetite for Destruction*
Run DMC - Run DMC
Public Enemy - Yo! Bum Rush the Show

*yes, I know, but it was their major label debut so I'm counting it. Fight me if you want, but you'll lose.

I wasn't a big fan back in the day but came to really appreciate them in my 40s. I just learned yesterday that Brian May is an astrophysicist and worked with NASA on the New Horizons probe.
