I don't mind the idea of acquiring Brown, but not with the intention of playing him with McDavid. I'd make that deal to improve our scoring depth. He doesn't really fix our problem of not having top-6 finishers and, beyond that, I'd want Sparks in return if I'm trading them Talbot.
While I understand the view on preferring to keep Kapanen over Nylander on a pure value estimation, they've consistently expressed their commitment to keeping their most skilled players. As such, I'm inclined to think they lean towards keeping those closer to being game-shaping talents. - MaximumBone
Brown could be a good addition as well as Burakovsky
Draisaitl / McDavid / Chiasson
Burakovsky / RNH / Puljujarvi
Reider / Khaira / Brown

Never questioned your beliefs in those things It's counter-productive to assume anyone who raises a question about the modern social orthodoxy is ignorant, stupid or bigoted solely for raising a concern.
I don't doubt that there's Dubas and Co. derived some measure of pleasure out of the virtue signalling that hiring a more diverse set of people achieved, but I maintain that it's unreasonable to suggest with confidence that this is an example of the implementation of an unfair equality of outcome doctrine. - MaximumBone
Look at Trudeau when he named his cabinet ministers... they were all selected based on making a diverse candidate rather than merit. |

I'm not 100% knowledgeable about the 51st state's government structure, but aren't canadian ministers rotated around anyhow? In the U.S.A. (godbless), unless your betsy devos, the department heads/secretaries are not elected but selected and you usually have some experience with the department you work in. In a system where elected officials handle various departments, isn't it pretty common for few people to actually not be competent in that field before starting and then learning on the job? |

I wasn't contesting anything about Trudeau's selection of his cabinet. That guy is literally just his ideology; not a novel thought in his head. Your comment was pointed towards Dubas and the Leafs using Trudeau as the comparison so I addressed that. "Diversity" and inclusion weren't foundational tenants upon which Dubas' Leafs have been built, unlike Trudeau's Liberals. |

I see parallels between Dubas and Trudeau in regards to building their front offices and being media whores. |

We need to find a way to send Lucic and Chiarelli on the same plane out of Edmonton and right to New Jersey. - Reveen.
As long as Larsson is on the plane you can send it. |

No, we keep Hall, Larsson gets off the plane in NJ, and then Chia and Lucic continue on to Afghanistan. |

I'm sure there is a Johan or Jacob we could acquire to get the plane off the tarmac. |

I feel like Hall's heart is in Edmonton and New Jersey could resurrect Lucic's career. |

The only positive is Jones seems to be showing well and the potential of him and Bouchard is tantalising

Oh very much so....I can’t think of another guy who has taken advantage of the minutes on the ice more then Jones has when he was given the opportunity

It would be nice to have a trio of puck movers like Jones, Bouchard and Klefbom to go with Larsson, Nurse and Petrovic / Benning / Russell.

The future looks good on the blueline which is why I really wasn’t panicking because guys are coming back....the Petrovic deal I didn’t mind even if I felt a 3rd was too high....I think Benning is screwed tho moving forward....unless someone gets hurt he is really going to have to fight for minutes

If there is a brightside it’s our prospects that are in the WJHC haven’t been bad......Samorukov got his name out there and Kemp saved the game for the Americans |
