I’m fine taking Nylander back ,but now you have a cap problem . I think Larsson is overrated .I would be very happy with Kapanen and say Dermott . Take puju and our first and see if another defencmen is out there - Allforhim12
Are you one of the ones that thinks Leon is overrated as well? Puju and a 1st gets a chuckle as far as getting another defenceman goes

He's our best defender, separates his man from the puck at an elite level and consistently shows up ~50% across most significant metrics despite facing the toughest opposition on the team. He's our 2nd best Dman and it's not close. - MaximumBone
What this guy said
I’m often critical of Larsson because of his limited offensive capabilities and of course because of what we gave up for him (the 2nd part being entirely unfair to him )
But yeah- none of those criticisms should suggest I don’t see his value to the oilers.
Dependable, physical, faces tough opposition on a nightly basis, our best defender downlow etc.
A real warrior type that is at worst a really good 2nd pair guy, and has shown he can capably play top pair if Klefbom is at the top of his game as his partner |

If I’m upper management I’m not allowing Chia to make a major trade that’s going to kill us any more possibly - RatedR80
If only this was the case. |

At this point I’m just thankful that it’s been nothing major for trades and as long as Chia is the GM I’m ok if nothing major happens

In the Vegas thread, a guy posted a Lucic and Puljujarvi to Vegas for Pirri trade. He post was of a negative nature, but I found myself rather fond of the idea. |

I never got to respond to your claims of MacK over Kucherov as the 2nd best player.
While this may come off a tangent, I feel like you may be underlooking Kucherov's passing abilities and ability to create offense. It is usually overlooked due to his top-tier, elite shooting ability. This year has seen him take on more of a playmaking role in terms of deployment and my oh my is he succeeding at it. Took him some time to get going, but once he did, he's unstoppable.
Stats wise (current year), he leads the NHL in assists overall and in even strength (I'll be focusing on even strength to compare the two). Before you may state that they may be mostly secondary assists, you would be wrong. The majority of his assists are primary.
MacK also posts more primary assists than secondary in general, but nowhere near the rate Kucherov does.
(Primary/60 - kucherov: 2.0 // MacK: 1.1)
(Secondary/60 - Kucherov: 1.1 // MacK: 0.6)
Teammate wise, they are both playing with top tier players, so that wouldn't really provide any significant deviation that would need to be dealt with.

Adding to the above.
You can make the claims that MacK is a center and the position is more demanding than that of a winger, but when it comes to driving play, I still think Kucherov negates that center aspect of MacK just enough to take the #2 spot. |

I would love that but sadly I don’t feel like that won’t happen....not with Lucic anyways

Id like to see Chia on the identity line and leave Poolparty where he is starting to develop chemistry. |

Puju should be in the AHL along with Yamamoto but I think Hitch did it because Chiasson has scored 5 vs 5 playing with Nuge so that’s the hope to get Nuge going

Larsson is a 3-4 because he can’t move the puck out of his zone worth poop .Of you can find someone who thinks he is a 1-2 , Trade him . Puju and an unprotected first could very well get a very good defencman
