With Pettersson in, its maybe a fringe playoff team, but without him, they lose their depth and their ability to have two scoring lines. Makes such a huge difference for a team in the depths of a rebuild with very little scoring depth yet. As you can see by that dastardly lineup card.

Our current position dictates otherwise. Goaltending has been exceptional. Our defence is much improved, more confidence, jumping into to play at the right time. This team has an identity. I still think it’s not out of the realm of possibility. We are in every game. That’s something we were unable to say the last few seasons.

Broadcast standards in Canada are insane. Especially considering the prominence of the www. The CRTC stops Canadians from viewing what they want and gives corporations all the power to dictate what we watch and how much we pay for it.

My post was a tongue and cheek response to all the posts that demanded retribution for something that required no retribution. Seriously there can be 20 posts calling for a physical response but I can’t be facetious about the exaggeration of everyone wanting a player to send a message where one isn’t justified.

Honestly if I read nothing but everyone’s over reaction to a hockey contact play and swallowed their opinion I would be a mental reject with no sense of humour. It goes both ways. The guys that are paid to play and coach, as well as some of us that saw no intent have their opinions, but that doesn’t mesh with the retribution crowd so go ahead and call me out. I’m a big boy and can take it, but I will also call it out.

They didn’t buy national broadcast rights, only regional, which is why games are blacked. When I lived in Alberta I bought a satellite TV system, paid for the extended sports package with all the regional channels and could only watch when the Canucks were in Alberta, or on CBC/TSN.

As a mod it's not as easy for him to call out 1 or 2 specific posters for having an option that he considers to be ridiculous/stupid, especially if it's always the same guys, so maybe this his way of calling them out without being specific.
