Sparks had a 6-2-1 record in the first half of the year, with a 3.0 gaa and .905 save percentage. Not top end, but not bad.

Last year through christmas break Anderson had 30 starts, this year 30 starts, the year before last 29 starts..so Babcock isnt relying on Anderson anymore this year than last year or the year before...

Furthermore last year McElhinney was only 3-4-0 in the first half of the season with a 2.75 gaa so I'd argue that Sparks is far exceeding over McElhinney as a backup thus far this year.

Shouldn't be surprised but the announcers last night horrendous. They called last nights game (multiple times) a trap game.

Since when is a weaker team playing on the road a trap game. These guys HATE the leafs is sickening to have to watch game after game. They are far and away the worse duo out there. They spend whole game making excuses why leafs win and talk down to them. They don't even know who the players are or what is happening in the game.

Agree with this - for all their money and a full NHL broadcasting monopoly, as well as an ownership stake in the Leafs, you would think someone at Rogers would have figured this one out already. I've watched the game without volume and listened to Bowan a few times. Even with the second or two feed delay, its better than listening to Hughson complain about Rielly getting away with a penalty when the Leafs had zero power plays in the game. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the record for most games played in a season without a single power play?

Bob cole is/was amazing. Yeah he's not as sharp as he once was but he's still very good at it. My god the other day when we had the pleasure of listening g to him call the game some on here were complaint about how many times he messed up the names. (frank) sakes these two dimwits can't get any names right either and and don't even know what is happening in the game.

Rather listen to cole screw up some names than these two (frank)tards do that too as well as hav no clue about the game as well.

I think that is exactly why the two dippoops who do HNIC all the time and trash the leafs all game all the time because negativity sells. Leaf fans Are going to watch regardless and with all the negatively the leaf haters get what they want.
