As fans we just have to be patient with the kid. I'm sure the brass is.

If he really is that good . he will learn the game and get more confidence real quick playing with talent. That will make him strive to be better than always beating kids at the game.

Lukkonen is impressive. For such a big guy he limits his movement really well. Very calm presence in net and doesnt exert much energy to make saves. Goalies are like rolling dice at this age, but he looks mature beyond his years

Despite paying much more attention to the junior game it appears that ullmark had another good game and gave us a chance to win. I want to see housley roll with him for awhile

Ultimately the sabres dont have much choice when it comes to mittelstadt. I dont think sending him to rochacha is an option at this point. Press box for a night may be a good idea, but that leaves us with all the junk we already complain about moving up a spot in the lineup.

So long as eichel is out, and reinhart and skinner continue to create chances for themselves id like to see eichel with thompson and sheary. At least try it. I agree with whoever said this time should be used to see if housley can find another line that can score upon his return

Mitts with sam and skinner could make that another line for other teams to have to defend against .. At least pencil those line in if what they have out there isn't doing much.

But it is their job to be patient. With berglund turning out to be a huge bust they have no choice now.

As fans we are entitled to expect more out of our teams. Unfortunately right now it comes at the expense of a 20 year old rookie who doesnt entirely deserve it. I thought he should have been sent to rochester 10 games into the season. Its too late now

I think they have to try it. Or have mittelstadt with reinhart and thompson, and put pominville back on the top line

Something is bound to work out . Top line doesn't work vs every team. Need to have other options that work. Linemates on board with it . chemistry no matter what combination.

Damn ..sounds like im drunk

Hopefully Sabres continue the tradition of being a top second half team.

They are in a way better spot for that than the past 10 seasons ? Guessing.

I think we are gonna go defense bc that will be the best available

The lineman from ‘bama is projected to play guard from what I’ve read
And it doesn’t look like any WRs are top15 worthy
Unless we trade down,
I like the idea of a pass rusher
Hughes as our top guy just isn’t good enough

This is his second year of actually playing against men. The kid is on a crash course in terms of development. He went from toying high school competition to playing against the best in the world. He does have outstanding hands and a good shot. I have faith he will be the perfect compliment to Eichel down the middle even if it takes a couple seasons. This time last season he was named WJC MVP.

Second year? Are you counting college last year?

Yes sir. A lot of guys in the college game are 22-24 and fully developed.
