think it goes beyond that no matter what the issue is. If nothing else, he really needs to start shooting more. That alone will help create more chances than hes creating right now.
- Sabresfan-365

if we're talking about that drop-pass that went afoul, there was no room for him to shoot...he made the right play, but the pass was just a bit off

the plan was to give him protected minutes in a lesser role...that went to poop when Berglund and Sobotka sucked more than they anticipated
- Michael Pachla

I agree but that plan went south quick, what the plan now??? It doesn't look like they have a clue, unless playing him on the 4th line for 8 min is the plan. If it is that's a really crappy plan.

The difference in pay isn't though. That's why I'm taking ERod every day of the week. Also, ERod can skate, Wilson is ok, but ERod wins easily.

As long as he doesn't get a big raise(more than $1M celery, I don't know he'd get more than $800K to be honest) I would expect him as the 13th forward. That's ideal to have a guy dirt cheap as your spare guy that can come in and play on any line for a couple games. The utility is his strength, that and the fact he's incredibly cheap.

- Wetbandit1

Agreed.
Not alot of expectations as a 13th, spare forward.

But my original post you commented on wasn't about him as a 13th forward, rather that as a player who has split time on 3rd and 4th lines ... so of a 7th - 12th forward. 2-9-11 ain't cutting it.
Again, I'll repeat what I said, if he wants to stay in a 3rd or 4th line role, he needs to produce more.

im not saying he should shoot more based on one play.

Im saying in general, he takes way too few shots.

That Acciari line got the first goal and OT winner last Saturday in Buffalo, got the game winner in the winter classic and the goal tonight. WTF? F these guys. Our boys need to step up.

Most of the Sabre forwards are playing like they are scared of the Bruins. The Bruins can pressure the Sabres as if they have no fear of a scoring threat from the Sabres. Just my opinion.

I disagree

you don't have to follow through 10 feet in front of you every time you shoot, just like Scandella doesn't need to lift his stick to the rafters every time he takes a slap-shot

It's called a snap-shot

They can't sustain any pressure and frankly suck in their own zone. They're getting beat to loose pucks and just don't have it tonight. I would change the lines up.

Sabres 3 prospects all playing well.
That Fin team can control and possess the puck quite well.

Serious question: Does Reinhart actually know how to shoot the hockey puck?

Looks like my 5-year old cousin trying his first wrist shot

We just need to get the next goal and we're back in the game.
