I’ve heard for the past few weeks how bad Schenn is and what a mess the Blues are. We’re worse. We were shutout by a goalie in his first ever game with a bad team.
We’re worse. Let that sink in. - SuperSchennBros
That’s what’s scary....the blues are a train wreck....and we just got out played out hustled and smoked at home by them....guys are just waiting for shoes to fall....as much as we are.
Giroux has been guilty of lazy plays and poor efforts on the back check all season. In the Calgary game it was his bad change that led to the Gaudreau goal. The entire team is dysfunctional. Yes, it is a witch hunt to run a player out of town. After every loss he is called out repeatedly. The team has lost what 6 games in a row and is at the bottom of the NHL and you are actually trying to make this case? Seriously? There are lots if issues with this team. It is asinine and absurd for anyone to focus blame on one player with the game they played tonight and the way the team has played pretty much all season. - MJL
You also seem to ignore the other player who did the same thing. Again no one is saying Giroux isnt guilty of bad plays. NHL players are still human. The fact which you seem to ignore when its convienient for you is Simmonds isnt doing anything. What is Simmonds doing to get the team on the right track? Nothing. Giroux at least has a PPG which helps the team more than it hurts the team. Simmonds is guilty of the SAME lazy plays and he is not chipping in offensively. He is by far the worst player when it comes to puck management as well.
This has NOTHING to do with Giroux. Simmonds has people frustrated because he is easily the worst player on the ice and that says a lot with guys like Weal, Folin, AMac and Weise out there.

i didn't see one person blame Simmonds for the loss tonight. so it's asinine and absurd to call out terrible play when you see it unless it's Giroux? what are you saying to me right now? if you don't want to talk about individual play then you don't have to put your opinion in. it's easy to say "the whole team is a mess right now" then blame people for scapegoating players. it's easy to nitpick Giroux who at least is doing something out there most nights but ignore guys like Simmonds and JVR who looks completely lost most nights aside from the occasional net front goal in a losing effort.

In the game tonight Voracek was one of the few players who played with any intensity. He was trying to make something happen all game but they're so disconnected as a team that everything is to the outside. Nobody in the middle of the ice. - MJL
I think the team is at the point where it’s going to move on from Giroux and Voracek and with good cause.
As per Darren Dreger, the Preds just traded a first and a third to the Flyers for Taryn Hatcher. - 77rams

Which is ridiculous as I think Fultz is going to go down as one of the biggest busts in sports history ever.
Provy has already had 2 solid seasons. - opeth_pa
I agree no comparison. I just think they should real Provy in a bit with the ice time. We all know how talented he is...take some pressure off of him and let him work his game back.

What did Simmonds do that made him worse then Coots or JVR tonight?
I got excited for a second....never mind. - landros 2
I didnt as the last thing I want to see is a Provy, Sanheim, Ghost, TK moved for some 31 year old player to try and move them up 3 slots in the standings this season.
For anyone here or anywhere else insisting it’s best to wait until the deadline to move Simmonds is just plain ridiculous. He shows no sign of a pulse, isn’t finishing checks, he’s losing puck battles (when he’s not stumbling and falling on the ice after being untouched), and adding nothing whatsoever to the roster. Get what you can for him NOW! I’d much rather have a 3rd or 4th line player who gives a rat’s a** and is hungry to compete. Odds were slim anyway the Flyers could get a 1st rd pick at the deadline (as some here have suggested — really?)...zero chance of that in light of the way Simmonds is playing now.
If Simmer doesn’t step up and play physical against the Caps tomorrow, he deserves whatever Tom Wilson (legal or otherwise) dishes out.

We’re a train wreck. We’re not just worse, we’re a lot worse.
