I have read these rumors by different various sources. I believe his cap hit is 1.5 or 1.8 his numbers a pretty decent , he will be a free agent this summer. So he is a person teams would target this summer and mom sure he will get a decent raise.

She said she needed a break from all of the negativity. This board was negative when they were legit contenders. It’s almost unbearable at times now. Too many chicken littles around these parts.

Think the Preds have some of their guys back tonite who were injured from the last meeting. A win against the mustard stains is always welcome.

Here's a thought.....Sharks scored on a Penalty Shot and wouldn't it be great if that team ALSO got to continue with a PP as well ? Same as the delayed call....score after pulling your goalie and also get your PP. It would sure shake up some point totals.....then again....maybe not....but it would be fun to watch.

It’s like a clear path foul in basketball - the team gets the FTs and the ball.

Altho the presence of the goalie makes a “clear-path” in hockey not a 99% sure score, the presence of the goalie also make the PS only a 35% success.

So give them the PS and the puck - a PP.

If they only have 13 million in cap space mathematically they are and can not go after or sign a top 6 player. In order to resign all their players rfa and dabble in a few low key bottom 6 depth players while maintaining some minimal cap space 13 million works. However to accomplish all that and have real serious money to target 1 top 6 they will need over 20 million easily. PANARIN, stone , Skinner, laine, marmer,Matthews, Duchene your starting point is easily 9 million and could go as high as 13 million. If you only have 13 million in available cap space their is no way Stan can even go down that path,


And I'm just spit balling but I think Stan wants to leave himself with cap space to make any in season moves if need be. So 20 million might be close but not enough.

This off season he went the cheap route and could have landed a top 6 for 7 million and he didn't do it because he didn't have enough money overall.

the 13 million in cap space is after they sign their RFA's!! You don't need 9 million to sign a top 6 forward, you can get one for 6-7 million.
