Im happy with Weber as well and I appreciate what he brings but i can also appreciate PK’s good sides
- Karine Hains

Sure but if choosing between the 2, I prefer Weber, I was happy when the trade went down and I still feel it was a good deal for Montreal

Oh...so you've watched the detroit-Nash game? Nice turnover for the Bertuzzi goal...wouldn't you agree?

Not gonna get into another senseless PK debate. He's been a turnover machine and he averages a -58 turnover rate per season.

He's a mess in Nashville lately

Had a pretty bad one against Detroit the night before the game against the Habs.

Me too. PK is fun though. And he does give to charity.

Interesting

Random thought

I think Bergevin has made better decisions since Rick Dudley got the (frank) out.

yup.

Thing is with PK, he'll turn the puck away a couple of times per game and then he does a big dazzling play to make you forget about them pillsburrys

To be honest i cried when the trade happened, first time since Roy was traded but in hindsight, it has been a good deal and Weber fits in better in Montreal’s ultra traditional market. Still love PK though, his flashy play, his personality and what he did for the city...when i go to the MTL-NAS games, i wear my old 7-6 Subban. Was great the first time he came back, loved it. The welcome back ovation gave me goosebumps much like the game when Koivu came back as a Duck

I normally agree with a lot of the stuff you write Brandon but Subban got 59 points just last season saying he failled to reach his best career season is a very thin argument. As for struggling to stay healthy, Subban has missed what 32 or 33 games with Nashville? Whilst Shea missed over 80 with us.

There is no need to crown a winner of the trade and you are right that the debate should end but the fact is that Subban hadnt reached his ceiling when MB traded him and he’s grown into a more complete and reliable player. He didnt play much Saturday as he’s come back from injury not long ago. The fact is that Nasville has got one of the best blue line in the NHL and Josi is a veteran and captain on the team, its only fair that hes on the first pairing that doesnt mean PK is no good.

Tbh i prefer the fast paced Subban style of play especially now that he is more defensively sound but that doesnt mean that I cannot appreciate what Weber brings to the Habs and his strenghts.

it seems yes... so I guess he was guilty of given too much to Dudley's opinion

Dudley was Ass GM and in charge of "pro" scouting.... so yes he relied on his opinion.

It's not a coincidence.

and turned it over and was brought down to less than 15 minutes, AKA kinda the point Brando made.

Weber does not carry the puck like Pk.

Puck moving defensemen will cause turnovers...because they have the puck.

I think that's just the benefits of having 2 really strong pairings, you rely heavier on one during the first game of back to back and the other on the next night
