I don't think anyone here would doubt that he can be an effective player, and he makes things exciting for the fans. At the same time, I would hope that those who love PK, can also see how having Weber instead, provides a much more calming influence on a team. Better? Not sure that's the correct word for either, as they are very different. - hscesq
Yeah Weber is a great leader and has his qualities. I'm just tired of people talking bad about Subban or Weber just to prove their point.

After just reading through the comments I can say I stand completely by what I wrote in this blog.
I didn't run down Subban but gave an honest appraisal of his play. Some are skewed by some points I did see in the comments though: personality, work for the city, etc. You cannot logically judge performance if you are still constrained by the "feels". Weber is a better D man then and now despite his age compared to Subban. They are just different players and I feel Weber is better because he brings it all, consistently, with no drama/need for spotlight.
I said to come at me and I'm glad to see ppl respectfully talk about it. Thanks for all of that. But Weber is better despite not pledging to help a foundation raise money over X amount of years and not blasting by all his teammates so he can launch a pretend arrow into the rafters followed by 4' windmill fist pump with 4 second lions roar so the Getty Images guy can get some new pics after his goals.... - Brandon Smillie

I agree 100%. It's human nature though, and I doubt it will ever stop. It also doesn't help matters, when the Stu Cowans of this world, post things on Twitter, like he did after the game on Saturday. |

I will contact the Elie Wiesel and check. I assume that while you are most definitely a nazi there may be some more prominent nazis he is hunting right now. |

True. But Cowan didn't make an article trashing Weber, he talked about Subban, and the things he's accomplished so far with the Preds.
Many people have made articles about the positive impact of Weber on the team, and that's cool too. But negative blogs like this one right here, that's what's wrong. |

Weber needs to stay healthy. It has been a huge problem. I think Subban is way faster and fits the NHL better as it is. |

Are those lies or is that how the player conducts himself? Truth hurts sometimes..
also, Subban's avg ice time makes him their 4th most used defender and you know he gets big PP minutes. He cost them the game before at 22 mins with his giveaway, then the coach reigns him in and they shut the Habs down. Coincidence or good coaching? - Brandon Smillie
I think you confuse your own opinion with the truth. |

That was in the body of the article. The Twitter post, and I suspect purposely so, led the reader to believe that the article was something it wasn't. |
