I don't think much of him either, but I think he's signed so the team has some belief in him.
It'll be curious if they stick with the "this 29yr old AHLer with 60 career points in 300 games gets a spot over the prospects because Earned It" mentality. - Lindenis#1

That's my bad then. I thought I had seen something about him getting and ELC.
His numbers don't seem all that far from Brisbois and for whatever reason management loves to talk him up so I would be a little surprised if Brassard doesn't get a deal. |

I've always thought that overage CHL or college free agents could help a roster. If you actually look at the undrafted best rookie seasons over the past 5 years. It's not too pretty except for the occasional gem.

I don't know if that link will take you straight there but I'll put it this way.
Troy Stecher has the 7th best rookie season for an undrafted player in the past 4 years. - manvanfan
Yeah the payoff is often low, but if you can get yourself a Stecher or even a Cagguila or Goodrow or whatever then its a useful play. Basically getting a 10 dollar payoff from your 2 dollar ticket. |

The long term success of this "rebuild" turning the team from a Minnesota into Winnipeg could easily come down to some combination of the depth prospects like Madden, Chatfield, Lind, Brisebois, Jasek, Lockwood, etc. turning into real players instead of more Granlunds and Pouliots. |

Ticket sales must be down . The boys are doing the circuits pumping the prospects.
I wonder why Jim isn't doing the interviews ? You know |

i believe it was in the summer but i recall a video interview of jimbo on one of the vancouver radio shows (not sure if sportsnet or tsn) and he was super casual and not nervous and i thought it was real good to see him that side of him
tbh he's probably just busy |

I still think it is to keep him away from the public but that is my opinion.
