I hope Benning can hit a homerun on D like he did at centre and wing.
If we have an all star D man, in addition to Quinn hopefully, then I think the team will be pretty dangerous. |

They need a winger for Bo and a top pairing D. Likely need two more top 10 picks |

Hughes * 2 , boeser, EP and Horvat. Would be insane. Although, EP and Hughes play from the same spot. Two Hughes on the point? Not sure how you would set it up - CanuckDon
EP i think could operate ppoint very well. I think it would be very mobile given how good the skating of all those guys |

I think if we pick 3-10 good chance it will likely be a d. We need wing and D so i could see BPA in both rounds. |

Everyone talks about how calm he is with the puck and how he settles the whole game down when he has control on the PP. I think he'd benefit from any position where he gets to touch the puck a lot. |

from a few lists that I have seen (obviously its only half way there, and things change all the time), but I have only seen 1 defenseman listed in the top 10 of a few midterm rankings and it was Byram. Broberg I have seen anywhere from 8 - 20. Seen a few Finnish defenseman in the 10-30 range, but the 1st round of the draft doesn't look particularly stacked for defenseman (or what I have seen so far). |

So if we have a high pick we go W and if we're past 10 we go D? |

I added in that I have seen Broberg anywhere from 8 to 20 range.
And honestly, when it comes to first round picks, I have always been BPA. Can be a bit more positional in all other rounds, but I would be happy if the Canucks went after the highest skilled player in the first. |

I meant more what we will get versus who we should take. I would agree we should go BPA since we seem to be successful at going BPA in the first round |

I did read that. I saw a few other pre-rankings or beginning of the year rankings which had Broberg super high to start the year, but I think he has slipped a bit. |

Not a strong high end D class. Find a gem in round 6. No midgets in 6. |

The Mac brothers are the only ones on the Comets deserving a look this year . They definitely need to give Zac a look so they can see if he fits or they need to go shopping in the summer.
I have been not impressed with the prospects from this draft as of yet , that is why I think it is foolish when I see Edler for a late first.
There are a lot of Gaunces and Shinkaruks it looks like in this draft. |

Ottawa caught a break in keeping last years draft pick over this one. |

No I am not over impressed with the draft eligible players this year . I don't think it is a strong crop and it doesn't go deep |

Ah I see, my bad. I haven't been paying any attention apart from the top 2 since the team has been doing well. If our season goes down the toilet I'll start doing research |
