Technically the penalty occurred before Wilson touched the puck which should have blown the play dead as offsdes so I guess you could explain it that way

Being a finesse player is fine. Being an off-puck attacker is fine, too.

A guy like Tavares, who plays that same kind of finesse, off-puck style, is one of the biggest competitors in the league. He battles, he pursues, he backchecks.

JVR really does need it on a silver platter. He hasn't changed a bit since draft day. He's still the same big, likable guy, who won't bring it.

I never thought otherwise. And yet one particularly thick franchise has chosen him twice and given him 2 contracts. The second one could be a bonafide disaster that will equal a Lecavalier type situation.

I think the reason Simmonds got pissed at the end of the game was because one of the Caps chirped at him and told him he’s stuck playing on the Flyers at minimum until the deadline.

Weird that I've seen just about no media post game for the Flyers on this one. I guess even the beats are tired of the canned responses.
