I was waiting for this reasoning...if a player is playing so poorly due to injury then they shouldn't be playing and deserve twice the blame. That is unacceptable.

Each Flyer is under contract and if able to play, must play. This is their job. They get paid handsomely to do so. I believe there has to be a number of reasons why a player is sitting in order for them to sit. Now if their boss (the coach) sits them out, totally different story but if the boss thinks it’s best for them to play and are medically cleared to do so, must play.

The link I looked at said the rules were exactly the same as it was for Vegas but it says NHL players not professional players. It would be nice to get confirmation. If so it could explain some things.

Cool then they play, but that doesn't mean they are exempt from criticism for poor play...which was the whole point of the conversation, not whether they should play or not.

Not really a surprise he "could re-sign"...technically he "could retire" or he "could play in the KHL" or he "could take Colby Cohen's job". I "could do this all day"
