Individually at times Jake is like some other players on the team in that he can do some great things. At other times, Jake like all of the players have a bad habit of turning the puck over too easily. I hate those blind no look passes that are intercepted. Constant turnovers on the PP trying to get into the offensive zone. The Flyers lead the league in face-offs, but can't maintain the puck - sad. For that reason I will say that I don't care who is on this team - they all should be on the trading block for the right deal. For dumb turnovers players should see some bench time, but then again if the GM wants to trade someone who is being benched, their trade value would be lessened. Dumpster Fire! - RustyPipes

Because NAK hasn’t had close of a sample size as Lindblom has in the NHL lol. Not sayin he’s better than Lindblom but we have no idea what NAK is because he legit got 5-7 minutes if that on a 4th line under Hakstol. - arichardson22
LOL, refer back to my previous post where I referred to the difference in sample size. Lindblom has played plenty of games in the same situation on the 4th line. |

Sometimes I wonder if you are secretly a Pens fan.
I really don't know if your assumption is true. Let's bring NAK up and put him on the 2nd line to see comparables. - RustyPipes
That's a dumb comment.
It's not an assumption.

Only way for NAK to prove himself is to be given a chance. He’s played roughly 200 games at the AHL level. No reason not to bring him up at this point, hell, he’d be replacing Weise in the lineup so the bar would be set pretty low, lol. - BiggE
I'm perfectly okay with that.

And has been goal-less in how many games since being demoted to the 4th line... |

Are we ever going to face a starting goalie again or are we just that pathetic that we're going to see backups all season? - hereticpride
In the past, even when they've been good they've had trouble with backups.

The flyers just tied a record set by the 1989-90 Nordiques.
The Nordiques went 12-61-7 that year.

Hey, there's still the possibility that they will break the record. Plenty of season left for more injuries. |

So how can you fairly judge or have a full idea on a player who played 9 games on the 4th line with an average of 5:35 TOI? I’m not saying he’s better or will he better than anyone on the Flyers team, but little early to hold any opinion on him vs another young player. |

It's not an assumption. Lindblom has played numerous games in the same situation Aube-Kubel was placed in. I know that Lindblom is an NHL player. I still question whether Aube-Kubel is. Lindblom is the better player. - MJL
So because Lindblom can play on the 4th line he is better then Aube-Kubel?
Has Lindblom really showed you that much? I like his game and think he is a solid player but i am not rady to state Lindblom is a better player then Aube-Kubel without seeing Aube-Kubel for more then a couple games in limited minutes. |

Lindblom has also been given chances to excel on higher lines in the lineup then ABK. I dont disagree that Lindblom is the better player from what we saw, but he wasn't given the same opportunities as Lindblom. I see where the poster is coming from. If ABK gets second line minutes and PP time maybe the conversation switches, which at this point he should be... well after the deadline at least. |

I can picture the posts now. When and if Simmonds is traded and plays in the right situation, posts will say where was that Simmonds when he was here? The answer is that he was here all along. - MJL
Nope Simmonds is poop. He is better that he is playing sure but he isnt that skilled of a player. He is like JVR in the sense that he is only good if you put him in a favourable position. He has been overvalued here for the longest time. Fact is no matter what team he is with, without pp time he is not a useful player at all. |

Why all are talking about forwards.Goals are OK just 5 or so less then Islanders.
The problem are 7 goalies and goal differential of -37 .
The whole defence and defensive minded game of forwards was just horrible |

I can look and see the skill set of a player. Based on what I've seen, Lindblom is easily the better player which was offered in rebuttal to Feanor's comments on the two players.

I have a term for this... Charpentier. I noticed this all started with a goalie from the Caps like 20 years ago.... Charpentier. |

I am not and have not been debating if the opportunity given to each player has been the same. In fact I mentioned the difference in sample size in my original post.
