He isn’t getting traded and he won’t ask for a trade....at worst he will walk as an UFA which is his right at that point....we told you that Caggiula is garbage and I think it’s been 2 games? So the results are as expected....you guys won that trade due to cap savings and a guy that might put a few pucks in the net but will be responsible for a few going in against you guys as well

Chia gonna trade McDavid to Boston, just to be able to give Chara an 8 year deal. Oh, and also throw in Backes coming our way so he can make a speedy line of Lucic, Backes and Brodziak

This is a team that desperatly needs to make a couple of big trades to get leadership and chemistry which they sorely lack. The Oilers have been losers way to long that it has become their culture. They have to get players from teams with winning records and not just 4th liners. They have to part with 3 or 4 of their so called difference makers to shake things up and get players with winning attitudes or it will be another disappointing season.

There is no easy fix now. When they were about to turn the corner, the GM made a bunch of trades with major talent drains, and signed guys to way to big of contracts so there was no $$ left to fill the holes.

Honestly, just try your hardest to trade RNH paired with Lucic for a 7th rd pick. Nuge is good and there are a few teams that might go for it. Just think what that 12M could do this offseason with the plethora of UFA's looking for new teams.

The culture thing is totally misguided imo. The Oilers have the same problem as my Sabres. Really nice high-end talent, but a lack of scoring depth and a couple bad contracts holding them back (Lucic, Okposo). Culture = better players
