I’m almost stunned that Manning didn’t get into the line up but I’m not complaining that it’s Benning

The culture thing is totally misguided imo. The Oilers have the same problem as my Sabres. Really nice high-end talent, but a lack of scoring depth and a couple bad contracts holding them back (Lucic, Okposo). Culture = better players

How's Brandon Manning working out for you guys? He was a healthy scratch on the 2nd worst team in the NHL so, naturally, Chiarelli traded for him

Taylor Hall & Connor McDavid should be playing on the most lethal line in the NHL.....

I’m with you on both of our GMs.....the thing with Hall is him and McDavid didn’t really play that well together....using the power of hindsight had we kept Hall you could have had McDavid and Drai doing what they do now then put Hall with Nuge since those two have had success together....that would have been a solid 1-2 punch....the Hall trade wasn’t the worst thing Chia did tbh.....signing that Lucic deal or trading a 1st round pick for Reinhart is higher on my list

I actually didn't mind moving taylor hall to get help on the right side for defense. The issue was how crappy Chiarelli is at trading. To me, you don't trade Hall for Larsson straight up. I was furious when the deal happened as I was waiting for Bob Mackenzie to say Larsson + first or Larsson + prospect A at the very least.

The scary thing is apparently Chiarelli was hard after Cody Ceci. I bet it would have been Ceci straight up. However, Dorion had to go to Melnyk for authorization. In that time, New Jersey likely heard how cheap Hall was and swooped in their for a franchise centre. Man, how poopty for Ottawa.

I actually didn't mind Bowman's deal to get Strome and Perlini. I think that's a deal that's looked to work for both teams (up until Schmaltz's injury).
