Great...Colby Cohen is back!?!

He made a poor argument I think. Mainly based on jack Hughes is not going to ride in on his white horse and save the team and be a superstar next year.

I see nothing wrong with fans that hope that the team positions themselves for the best talent in the draft. It’s just more fun than rooting for weise to hit double digit goals in April, sorry.

Well McDavids and Crosbys don't happen very often...and neither of those teams were saved the next year, but they also didn't have the players the Flyers are starting out with either. I am not calling Hughes generational, but he is a franchise player.

If anyone thinks Hughes is just another Nico or Nolan that will take 3-5 years to develop in the NHL to become just a decent player then please turn in your hockey badge in and call it quits.

Hughes skating places him immediately into the NHL and he will put up some points. He may play no d. May turn the puck over. But he will help this team.

I think his stat line in the CHL would be enough for people to appreciate him more.
