with EP40 out, Baertschi is the only one in #Canucks uniform tonight to score in past 13 periods
Then Baertschi get's 2 out of 3 goals.
Secondary scoring has dried up completely. |

Some of these players like Virt Brock and Bo need a kick in the ass.
I point to those names because they are the ones suppose to be driving this team . Most of the others (Gaudette aside) will not be here in two years.

TG can't really fault Bo, he knows his offense will come and he's being tasked with a lot of hard minutes and many many faceoffs. Jake and Brock definitely need to step it up, same with Loui if he's going to keep getting PP time |

Pains me a bit that the players they have brought in had some really good seasons with other teams but also with other coaches.
Sometimes feels like the coaching staff isn't getting the best out of the players. The amount of line up changes and situational play. PP and PK strategies.
I'm not entirely blaming the coaching staff but at the same time, they do play a part in how the team is preforming.
All coaches have hiccups the same as GM's but TG hasn't earned his stripes to be given the same leash as some other coaches in the league.
This team right now is right where I expected them to be. It also doesn't make sense to bring in a more veteran coach right now.

They do. Looking like the old country club out there. Bo is playing like a 3LC when he should be stepping up to the 2LC role. Boeser looks disinterested at time and with JV's hockey sense it is what it is I guess lol.
Boeser will come around IMO but I for one for sure expected more out of Bo with Pettersson out.
We just lost to maybe the worst team in Hockey...a couple of Marky Muffins so things seem to be retuning to normal lol |

Jovanovski on goal Markstrom gave up in o-t last night : "I played with Marky here in Florida, he's a great guy but is he a true #1, a true #1 makes that save, I love Marky but plays like that sinks the moral of a team." #Canucks |

No but as you said they have to take some responsibility.
It's all good and fine to praise Green for his 'systems' when winning and all but where are those systems when we are losing? Pettersson out doesn't change all of that for Green.
Let's face it...I like Green but at times his inexperience really shows. But I'm sure he's 'really upset' over it.

Ron MacLean on SN 650 on Goldy : In the case of a lot of guys it's year 3 or 4 that are the tipping point to me. He is extremely nifty with the puck and I trust Travis to turn his career around because when he is good, he is a lot of fun to watch.
TG is always very worried about Goldy being a strong 200 foot player when the team is so starved for scoring.
Right now i'd rather watch a 6-5 game vs being shut out. |

hes not wrong at all. That shot was from above the faceoff circle. |

It was a 40 foot wrister that should have been saved. Then Marky looked up at the dman (patented move he learned from Miller) and tried to insinuate that it went off his stick lol |

Just saw a more in depth reply and it does hit Edler's stick and goes post and in. It was a very good/lucky shot.
I think you could blame Marky for a few other goals in the game. That one less blame. |

I thought Beagle and Sutter were supposed to play the hard minutes allowing Horvat to play the easy minutes? Also, how could there even be hard minutes against the Yotes? |

TG has lead us to believe that would work. It doesn't. You want to win in this league, your best players need to beat the other teams best players. |

Having two 4th line C in the lineup is like inviting two highlanders to a fancy dress party. It's never going to be pretty. |

It kinda looks like it deflected off Edler's stick. |

Seen it a couple times now looks like it went straight in. regardless at over 40' out that puck has to be stopped. Don't blame the dmen for a goalie gaffe. |

It takes longer for some, we shouldn't make fun of them because they're slow. |
