Seen it a couple times now looks like it went straight in. regardless at over 40' out that puck has to be stopped. Don't blame the dmen for a goalie gaffe.
- LordHumungous

It's funny, if that was Boeser shooting we'd be saying "what a great shot", if it's the other team shooting we're saying "goalie should've had that one"

Everybody is superior to you when it comes to hockey knowledge, you'd think you would just be used to being the dumbest one in the room by now.

Was listening to SN650 yesterday afternoon. Randip is off recovering from some eye surgery and Isreal Fehr was standing in for him. I swear he must read our threads because he used the word narrarive twice in one segment about the Canucks.

Another stat I'd like to see the hockey nerds develop is a measure of dollars per cubic centimetre. To see if being bigger leads to a bigger payday, of if being small is actually an advantage when it comes to salary negotiations.

Yes, each situation has occurred, but I haven't seen anyone post the performance under all 4.

Edit - in my mind it went:

Both healthy - .500, Beagle hurt team winning streak, Sutter hurt team loosing streak, Beagle healthy team winning streak, Sutter healthy .500

So with, without, with one or with the other the team is .500?

Tough Tough break for the kid.

Hardly scientific.

First 5 games both in the lineup (Beagle injured vs Florida, game #5)
3 wins, 2 losses all in regulation.

Next 8 games, Sutter in the lineup (injured vs Minnesota game #13)
4 wins, 4 losses, 2 of the wins in OT, one in a SO, all the losses in regulation.

Next 16 games, neither in the lineup (Beagle returned Dec 4th vs Nashville)
4 wins, 12 losses, one win in OT, one los in OT and 2 losses in SO.

Next 14 games, Beagle in Sutter out
9 wins, 5 losses, 2 OT wins, 1 OT loss.

Next 3 games since Sutter returned
0 wins, 3 losses, one in OT.

So, with both in the lineup 3 wins, 5 losses
With one or the other 13 wins, 9 losses
With neither in the lineup 4 wins 12 losses

In that case it truely is wasted money on Beagle since we were already paying Sutter, unless you assume that one of them will always be injured, which is a fair assumption.

lol I would.

Was just funny around here after Dec when Marky had the same numbers as Carey Price many had him 'turning the corner' lol

The average height and weight of the top 10 scorers right now are
6'0''
191

Close to the league averages, though scorers tend to weigh slightly under the avg weight.

It would be interesting to see stats on it but it'd be tough to account for monsters like Chara or tiny guys like Gaudreau who both have lots of value

He has "turned the corner" by this time last season he would have let the first shot in at least 15 times. This year it's probably less than 5 times it's happened.

What is Markstrom supposed to do when the defence in front of him, helps (talking about Gudbranson) the other team score on him?
