Sitting him is not going to help his 1 goal in the last 25 games. He is already lost, but scratch him and see how his teammates react? He's dead weight, but I'm sure hes respected.

Elie as a healthy scratch never bothered me, neither did Elie as 4th liner really. Wilson as healthy scratch is fine too. As long as the 13th F isn't a kid who needs to be actually playing, I really don't care.

On the other hand, respect is very important, you're right. Respected vets even get the benefit of the doubt. Respected vets only keep respect for as long as they are (a) contributing; or (b) not getting in the way.

Okposo and the Living Legend are getting in the way and not contributing.

I haven't watched an All Star game since we hosted it once in the late 70s(?) but it is nice to see that the NHL's second-leading goal scorer just barely made it.
