Faulk is a little female dog. He ducked and then ran after Larson

Caught him with a solid right, though.

That was a (frank)ing PATHETIC showing.

It was good to see Dahlin, Scandella and McCabe score goals though

That's on the "scorers". 2.60 GAA Is solid, should be at least .500 over that time.

As these younger players get more and more playing time.
As this season progresses.
Shouldn't this team be getting better, not worse?
Playoffs are slipping away.

That game was an act of God.

They played fine, but it didn't happen. That's how I saw it anyway

- jcragcrumple

I agree about playing fine but they need to win games like this. They play Tampa tomorrow night and then a Western road swing, which historically, has not been good to them.

they could have tried to get someone in here for a 2nd line center and chose not too... They botched handling of Mitts.... Management fault we won't make playoffs.

I'd be satisfied with just one playoff round, just one.

I just want that taste again.
I forget what playoff hockey tastes like.
Been long enough for us older fans.

Skinner.

And that doesn't mean they didn't want to make the playoffs, they thought they had the horses. Mittelstadt has been slower(development wise) than expected. I don't think they expected Berglund to suck that badly and then just quit either.

that's a bullpoop excuse.... Skinner. If everything hinges on Skinner signing or not why did they wait so freaking long to even start talking (if they even are right now) Set a (frank)ing budget, and go get someone, if Skinner exceeds the budget trade him or skimp someplace else.... Not and excuse in my mind, this is not rocket science, it's budget planning 101

You wouldn’t take this through 40-ish games if we said that we would be on pace for 90+ points before the year ?

They're just coming from a place of frustration. Management saw a 50/50 shot going either way so they just hedged their bets.

There wasn't enough already here to justify paying a premium for a good 2C, especially if they project Mittelstadt to be the long term solution there.

So you'd be in search of someone who was either young/cost friendly enough that sliding him to 3C wouldn't be a problem long term, or you're looking for a guy on a short term deal. The problem with the latter solution is, you can't be making short term adds (premium price or not) when your odds going into the season were 50/50.

Im actually fine with it... (they are still 4-6 players away) But management decided not to help this team this year... its freaking obvious. The only way for the sabres to compete this year (for the playoffs) was outstanding goaltending, which they got the first 28 ish games... average play by the goalies even good play in most games and they are going to loose. They simply don't have to horses to compete offensively.(this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone here)

3 weird/fluky goals or the Sabres win 3-1

Dahlin has hit that point in his rookie year where he hit the rookie wall

ERod played well

Eichel shouldn’t have played

Did Mitts play?

They need to get a true 2C and a 2LW

They played awful in the 2nd but still lost because of weird fluky goals.

The NHL is not the Town of Kenmore Highway Department

We don’t just let old (frank)ers milk the cow for years of no sick days.

curious how Nylander looked tonight for Rochester (he scored the lone goal I saw)?

He had a great takeaway and feed to Pominville for a really good 1-on-0 look in the first.

That was Pominville's best game since Canadian Halloween
