Sanheim was in fine position it was the fact he tried to put a pass through a forchecking player rather than backhanding it back into the zone

That and the fact it was so predictable, I saw the play happen way before it did. Pretty sure I said out loud, just don't force that pass across and boom.

He wasnt in fine position. If he was, he wouldve got to the puck earlier. Instead he had to race to the puck and make a play under pressure, which he also fumbled.

I literally just watched the replay, he had tons of time. He had possession of the puck and skated towards his end while looking to make pass to partner. He basically skated into Nico to make a play. He could of stopped or turned on his back hand with no one else around. It was a clear unforced mistake.

If he had tons of time, why did he need to skate the puck towards his own end? He shouldve been ready to pounce on that puck as it drifted out of the slot.

This over passing is getting real old. Someone take charge and do something. Everyone looks scared to do it themselves.
