Is it fair to say JVR scores in close but he tends to go up when he is in tight ???

Do you need the complete video breakdown? That screen shot is when he had full possession of the puck, the turnover took place right before center ice. No bobbling, just slowly looked at Provorov while skating towards his end.

Why he didn't turn and make the safe play? I don't know you have to ask him, obviously he knew he made a mistake when he apologized to Hart. Justifying he had no chance to make a play is silly.

He should be on the first PP. Hes one of the best at going up high when in tight.

I think teams learned a long time ago that Simmonds cant do it. Goalies can just worry about the bottom half of the net.

Again proof he can skate and give effort, but clearly doesn't most of the time. That's my problem with him. JvR knows it, the team knows it, the fans know it and the announcers know it, but everyone just shrugs and goes "what to do?".

20 years old, still has A LOT of growing to do and will give up stinkers like everyone else, but I get a warm feeling when he is playing. Looking forward to the Hart Era, now only if the rest of the team joins in with some.

It is ridiculous to expect a goalie to save them all. Our offense needs to kick it in gear. Our shot quality is so sad (JVR goal aside).
