Yeah.... Pretty rough one over all.

Yup. It's tough to do a back-to-back on a west coach trip.

Hornqvist skated today.....so that's good news. I don't think I'd consider letting him play until after the all star break.

Not getting any bounces tonight

They’ve gotta get the puck upstairs. Quick likes to flop around as is good at covering the bottom half.

Once your concussion symptoms are gone it doesn’t make a difference how long you wait. You’re not any more or less susceptible.

Very curious to see how close Jake gets to 40 goals.

I think he can hit 40. It helps him when Horny is out. 35 probably more reasonable.

When he’s played he has been a good possession player with anemic offense.
- Ryan_Wilson

I don't understand. I thought "possession" equaled offense. If it doesn't, then why does it matter?

So... seems we finally laid up an egg that wasn't against Chicago

They’ve definitely had worse games than last night. Quick was the difference.

I'm not sure who a buyer would be for Brassard at this point

He's cheap, He's good, but he would need to go to a contender, who would likely view him as a rental only, and those teams are usually only giving up picks

Given that he's had a bad season, I don't see him being traded to a mid tier team looking to resign him. He hasn't shown enough this year to warrant being signed to any real term or $$$

- RoloTahmasee

My guess is Montreal would give him a look. I just want him traded at this point. I think Sheahan can bring more to that line at this point. Idk if he is just over thinking things, or if he nervous or what is going on with him this season. He needs a change of scenery. I wouldn't mind a 1 for 1 at this point with him or even a Brassard + Defenseman and pick for a 3rd line center option.

I'd like to see Brass go and somehow get Jeff Carter here

There are probably better options that Carter, but the 5 million Cap hit seems affordable for a 3C that can produce

Brass for Carter then let the Kings flip Brass for a 1st at the deadline?

Would there have to be a sweetener on either side?

The problem with this - and anyone who regularly watches CBC/Sportsnet would know - Carter is apparently threatening retirement if he gets dealt. He loves it in LA, he doesn’t want to uproot his family, etc etc. I’m a HUGE Carter fan and would love him in Pitt, but unfortunately it looks like it’s not an option

Yeah, TIOPS reported the same thing today.

I'm curious about Chris Tierney whom TIOPS also tied the Pens to. He seems to be an interesting option. He keeps improving on his point production every year, but I don't know much about his game other than he has good speed.

Brassard and Sheahan to Dallas for Spezza and Faksa. Dallas has to retain money to make it work and they throw in a 3rd rounder because Pitt

I think Spezza would be a great fit with Kessel if he's to stay on the 3rd line. I'm not sure what Dallas is looking for at this point though. They currently hold a playoff spot and by the looks of things will likely be fighting for that spot until the end.

I'd really like Spezza here though.

I’ve always thought of Dallas as a good trade target, literally just thought of Spezza
