At this point it doesn't hurt to try anything imo.

Not against it. Just interesting to see every possible combination in one game.

Haag is averaging almost 18 minutes a game. Pretty similar to most of the defense other than Gostisbehere and Provorov.

Not in the last month.

The turnover by Sanheim was rough but you have to live with it, playing the young D. I’d be fine with seeing Myers soon, even with the inevitable mistakes and growing pains.

Couts missing his check on the third goal was the one I’m mad about. No one is perfect but he’s a selke level center and should make that play.

Flyers missing high and wide all night was bad too.

I haven't followed the Kings much this year. How are they doing just as poorly as we are with that roster? I see that they're dead last in the league in goals scored. Even we have 20+ more goals than they do which is kind of unbelievable.

Well we picked 2nd so it's not like we made the decision either way.

Call me crazy, I almost want to see what happens if you put Patrick out on the top line and get him into some more offensive situations with G on his win. Either way I'm not too worried about him. He's 20 and Hextall didn't do him any favors by shipping Schenn out and asking him to come in and contribute in a big way right away.

We all know one of two things will happen.
1. Some team, like NJ or EDM win the lottery. Flyers end up picking 4th and get a good but not great player.
2. Flyers do get the 1st pick and Hughes turns into a good but not great player and whoever is picked 2nd becomes a star.

Should be cutting it close for kickoff today.
I land in California right around 4:30 EST.
Not going to miss the cold though it looks like rain in Orange County for the next few days.

Anyway. At this point even though similar to the Patrick year I don't really see a surefire superstar in the draft at least win the first overall pick. Win at losing to establish a winning tradition.

Picking 10th to 1st is separated by 5 points it was 3 the other day. Still helpful.

Hughes at worst is skinner with McDavid skating.

We will probably end up picking 6 or 7 where I think the draft drops off significantly

Not difficult

The team doesn’t fit, leads to Zero confidence

They hesitate, even G now. When a puck does come their way they don’t receive it cleanly. Forget about a puck that is on edge , they can’t execute on a clean puck. Those 1/2 seconds in the NHL LEAD TERRIBLE EXECUTION ALL OVER THE ICE

I am a die hard

This season sets up a good run next seasons. Myers and Morin will get ice time. Sanheims developement will be sped up by the disaster this year. I fully believe he would be getting 13 minutes a night if they flyers were still in it, he is getting top pair minutes.

With how bad provy, ghost, Jake, JVR etc etc have been, most will bounce back, how can they not.

Fletcher will make a trade to address the fit on this team.

They will get another great pick.

Allison, NAK, Frost, Farabee etc. we will see 2 O prospects step forward

Sign me up. I hope you're right.
I do worry they do something stupid with the goalies. Just get a vet to split time with Hart until Hart's ready to be full time #1 and let the vet backup.

For me this season is over.

I'll watch but won't get angry. All focus is the possibility of what is to come as early as next season hopefully. I'll look forward to seeing Hart and Sanheim grow for the rest of the year.

I have to think though if next year is as bad that even MJL will be frustrated.

I've been there for about a week now.

With the cap space space, prospect pool and the fact that this team is not nearly as bad as it is playing this year, I expect a very strong team next year, hopefully without risking the future. Anything short of that will be majorly disappointing.

Couturier has blown a bunch of coverages this season leading to goals against this season. He hasn't played to a Selke level this season.

On a positive note, I sure love how quick Hart is. Love his glove and does a pretty decent job of not giving FAT juicy rebounds.

I would take Farabee out of that equation. Rumor is he intends on finishing school which solidly puts him at least 3 years away.

Knowing that the front office does not intend to be as patient as Hextall was I would not be shocked to see Farabee used as trade bait in for a major deal.

I dont think theres a player that can feel consistently good about their play. Some guys like sanheim hagg have had great moments but also growing pains. Hart outside of the 3 goal Carolina game and Columbus has been very good. Laughton had a good start but has fizzled some.
