I think everyone is pretty well there.

This team would need four karlssons to serious challenge in the short term for a cup. Who of the current cup challengers do you feel we can beat with him? Tampa ? Nope Nashville nope....i don't see him alone making a real significant differance to this club. Not unlike mcjesus in oil town. It's a team game and this team is many pieces away from challenging for anything. Get used to the idea , there is no quick fix coming

So because we won a meaningless game in October you believe we could beat these teams in the playoffs ? Lot of ups and downs in an 82 game season. It's true any team can win on any given night . It's also why after three straight hot starts this team has had it will still be finishing out of the playoffs and quite likely drafting top 5 ish again. Personally I doubt if we added karlsson to this team that we would even get out of the first round. We probably start mak8ng the playoffs with him and finish In the mediocre middle ground drafting mid to late in rounds if we kept our picks at all because well were a playoff team now , so let's trade our pics and prospects for players that will help us win now...... and all that leads us right back to where we are right now ! Where this franchise has always been since it entered the league... trying to take shortcuts to a championship and failing every single time. No thanks , stay the course , draft and develop .... pump and dump the pieces that don't work out , weaponize you're cap space take advantage of the teams that are going for it. My 2 cents worth only of course
