Opinion poll: What's worse team defense or team offense.

Comment: For all those rooting for loses to get Hughes... It's only like a 20% shot at best.

The team defense is an offense.

So you're telling me there's an 80% chance to get Kakko/Cozens/Dach?

Just gauging the temperature with this....

If we pull a 2,3,4,5 in the lottery what package would you send to the 1st place team for their pick?

IF you want it that is, which means Hughes.

OR do you like Cozens, Podkalzin, Kaaka, Turcotte better?

Bob McKenzie on TSN said many people have told him Gudas is on the trade block.
- arichardson22

He's been our best dman in 2 of the past 3 seasons. Would love to keep him if possible but if someone is willing to give a first round pick then that may be too good to pass up

EDIT: Chicken or the egg.

Dominant offense OR defense can win, most teams have close to elite in both though.

7 games is tough.

The draft falls off after kakko and Hughes and falls off even harder after 7/8.

And I am, and always have been anti-lottery.

It can be j ust as ineffective as tanking in creating parity in that..

It creates new possibly worse problems because good teams can have a bad year and qualify for cheap/great talent.

Then it would/should take a lot.

I love lottery night when my team is in.

RE: Nolan Patrick

He wouldn't be the first big center who developed slowly.

Joe Thornton's 2nd year

81GP 16G 25A

He didn't become a part of the Hart Trophy conversation until he hit 23.

What I'm saying is maybe we should wait until the kid is old enough to drink before we start adjudicating his career.

All I know is that we're one G or Hart injury away from absolutely picking in the top 5.

It all depends on the other situation. Teams that are powerful offensively, but weak defensively don't often win the cup, the other way around happens more often.

If we get Hughes and have Frost up then Patrick could theoretically be our 4th line center two years from now. I see no reason to rush the kid.

I personally think you see Frost on the wing ala Gagne.

the players tend to go to the same spots and the servers know exactly who they are. when I've seen them out they are always under control and very polite and approachable.
