Toronto could get Bob. If you are gearing up for a playoff run why not add a rental starter as a backup? If Andersen gets hurt in the playoffs, yo have a solid option.

However im not convinced Columbus would be willing to do this. They are poused to be a playoff team. Only way i see Bob leaving voa trade is if Columbus brings another guy in

Not so stupid.

Leafs already have a yeti, two sasquatches and some chupacabras in the system. They can afford to give up a unicorn or two if it helps out with their goaltending situation.

Eklund: We have a Trade...Plus, Could Toronto Look to Bobrovsky?
- Eklund

Doubt Toronto is looking into Bob, they only need a serviceable goaltender to platoon with Sparks, now if you said Edmonton or Calgary were looking into bob , it would make more sense.

I would see a trade for Luongo to get the back up spot, with Florida retaining a good cap space since it's his last contract year at 2M+. Less costly, good insurance card. I don't want it to happen, since I like Lu and not so much for the Leafs , but I do think it could be a smart move.

Can't see how they would go after the Bob.

It had better be a Casper mattress that those sheets are going onto.

You say this with every single trade yet nothing happens.

No way Leafs trade for Bob. He has not been good in the playoffs so even if Anderson is hurt long term, Bobrovsky is not the guy I would want to look to for success in the playoffs. Tbh, I would trust Hutchinson as much as Bobrovsky heading into the playoffs.

Plus if the leafs do give up major assets for someone, it will be for some like Parayko, Pietrangelo, someone to help their D.

Dunno what the price would be too many variables. The price of a player or goalie is supply and demand. How many GMs are interested and what are they offering up. The highest offer becomes the one to beat.

Bob unfortunately wont be to in demand. There are a lot of other UFA options that havent had internal issues with their respective teams and Bob is not playing that well to boot. Im just saying Bob to Toronto isnt as dumb as people make it out to be but I dont think its something they are looking at.

Don't forget their Ethical Republican still in NCAA. CLB would have to add if Leafs parted with their rarest and most coveted prospect.

I'm 100% certain Bobrovsky would remove his no trade clause to sit on a bench till april.....

- walshyleafsfan

Yeah, I can see him getting moved at the TDL to a team that needs goalie depth. He's had some real good games behind a terrible defense, but then again he's had some typical Ward games.

I figured if Hutch can fetch a 5th, then Ward is worth at least a 3rd.

Both Anderson and Bob are notoriously bad when given competition over who is or isn't the #1. This doesn't happen unless the much deeper concern is that Anderson actually is out for the rest of the year, despite him saying he feels ready to go.
- j_eng

You might wanna go check Andersen’s numbers when he was in Anaheim and had competition over the starter position. Unless you We’re infact talking about Anderson. Either way your point is pointless.

Unless Andersen goes down with a season ending injury the Leafs are not in the market for a backup.
