Talbot is a UFA after the season so no need to “free up” space when we can just take him off the books after the year is over....I certainly don’t want Simmonds on the team

I could see Edmonton making that swap, but that's not to say it's even close to a good trade. Simmonds has been pretty brutal the last three years.

If I was a fan I would agree 100%, but if they make a trade in the next month that could improve the team at least 3m+ has to be moved in the trade or before.
