If they didn't have three first round picks, it would be a different story.
The Sabres need a 2nd line center desperately.
Middlestadt is obviously not ready.
The futures are great, but we are wasting ELC of Dahlin and others.
Stirke now while you still can, it is only going to get harder once you have to start paying Dahlin. - ImThatGuy
There's some logic to this. Mitts isn't ready for that role and a 2C would probably have a nice impact for us.
I just don't want to trade any of those 1sts to be honest. I think with 4 stabs at it in the next 2 years, we could end up with two or three difference makers. That would be huge in the current salary cap era. |

Dale Weise has been placed on waivers.
Weise has produced five goals, 11 points and 15 penalty minutes in 42 games this season with the Flyers. He was a healthy scratch for Monday's win over Minnesota.

I watch every game, even in the tank years (I guess to make sure we lost, haha). I love this team. But I get so frustrated. It was only one game, but I am pretty sure almost everyone was off yesterday. We need a shake up. So either call players up and waive others (looking at you Okposo, as well as others), make a trade to bring someone in, or make a trade to send someone out.
The way we are dropping, I just can't help but say, trade Skinner or Risto to Edmonton for Nurse, 2019 1st, and / or Puljarvi. I really like Skinner, but the way this team has been playing, what makes me think he would want to resign here the way this team is folding? If he would resign here, let him go for assets and try to sign as FA in July.
I am just so tired of this team right now. I want D men moved so bad (even if team D goes down a little) just can't stand Scandella, Beaulieu, and of course Bogosian. |

I am not sold on Daboll either but I would like to see him with Allen and a full playbook
We know they shortened the playbook for Allen |

Guy might be a good hire, might not be. But you're right the Panther imports are getting silly. It makes them look like they are only promoting their friends with no concern for talent at the position.
Not like the Panthers are something to idolize either. If we were getting Patriot coaches I guess I could understand. |

I'm having a hard time getting very worked up over this.
I was more excited when we were on the win streak.
I don't know why I don't get bad excited about the losses. |

at some point, don't you owe it to your players? how do you think Jack feel (in his fourth year) watching okposo, pominville, elie, etc. play from the bench? then he goes out there and they triple team him because literally no other line can do squat. risto-plays so many minutes on poopty teams, gets to watch scrubdella and badgosian eff up time and time again. where is the respect for the vets on this team? the guys who WILL get you there if you give them SOME help? there is NO way pilut should sit again. there is NO way okposo should see the ice again (but they may be just stuck there). you risk losing your key guys if you just keep running out the same old scrubs and expect 2-3 guys to overplay in order to just have a chance to win. I think we're past patience at this point. |

Venting out your frustration is perfectly normal but sometimes The darkness and negativity takes over you and causing lash outs on people and creating a negative energy cloud throughout your day

I have all the time in the world to be pissed off at the Sabres since they won't open up government and let me work. I should apply for GM. |

My take:
I figured Buffalo would contend for a playoff spot this year and we are so I guess they are meeting my expectations. However..............................
I am just sick of being the laughing stock of the NHL. After that 10 game win streak we were the TOP team and I felt nothing but pride finally after so many years of watching crap hockey. The NHL Channel was all about MY Sabres for weeks, How well Skinner was doing, Jack was a top 10 scorer, Carter Hutton and Ulmark were one of the Top Goalie Tandems in the NHL, Housley was mentioned in Jack Adams conversations and Of course everyone was gushing about Dahlin.
Fast forward 30 days so and we are not even in a playoff spot anymore.. Worse then that the Wheels have completely fallen off the bus and we just got manhandled by the Oilers. No to mention that we let Kassin and Lucic score 2 goals a piece WTF.....
We have very little secondary scoring, our Power play is a disaster, Goalies can't stop a thing right now and our Defense is horrible.
Is it too much to ask for Jbotts to bring up some youth from the farm? Maybe I should not care as much as I do, It is only a game at the end of the day, but I can't help myself, some people blow off steam other ways for me, My time is cracking a beer, sitting in my Theater room and watching Sabres Hockey.
it is just very hard to watch the ship sink so fast............... |

I liked the Sheary, Mittelstadt, Thompson line last night.
Is Jack still hurt? Does anyone know what his issue was? Only rumor/speculation I heard was ribs, and I have no idea where that came from. |
