I don't like either and have faith in either moving forward. - SABRES 89
Trade Risto for a goalie ? J/k
Yeah it's very disappointing how they both have been getting beat far too often as of late.
They were both so much better back in November. |

I actually like Ullmark and for the most part I've been pleased with his play. He's still very young. I have zero faith in Hutton, he's been awful lately. He's just a placeholder for a few years till 6K is ready. - mhp
Both of these goaltenders were playing great early in the season and they are better than they have been recently.
I'm happy to have both of them right now, on the contracts that they have, and think getting Hutton was a nice move by Botts.
That said, Hutton is playing too many games. Its time that Hutton plays 1/3 of the games and Ulmark play 2/3 though. Hutton is a vet who excelled last year filling in, Ullmark is a young kid that can definitely handle more ice time.
Yet another example of Phil following the old hockey mentality, vets first, etc. thought process that needs to go. |

Carter Hutton has posted two wins in his last 12 starts.
Hutton has registered a save percentage of .898 during that span. He hasn't had much luck lately either with four pucks going off his defensemen and into the net over his past two starts. "It's tough," Hutton said. "It is what it is. I always hold myself accountable. It's easy to sit here and say, 'If this didn't happen, if that didn't happen.' My job is to make saves and right now I've just kind of been — for whatever reason it's just not going my way." He will look to get back on track against Calgary on Wednesday if he gets the nod. - SABRES 89
HE’S A LOCKERROOM MOPE AND A CANCER!!
Trade him! He’s overpaid! Bring in picks he doesn’t fit our window! He’s probably not a very devout Catholic!

Good post
Ex nhl players who coach have the "play the vets" ingrained in their mental make up.
Its fair and respectable system if a coach is going to be around for years with a franchise.
This may cost phil his job.

Kadri is kinda the guy you hate to play against , but like to have on your team.
I'm guessing anyways.
I could see Toronto moving him though.
They are center strong and hitting a cap issue soon |

Hate Kadri, but I'd like to have him. I would definitely not trade any players to Toronto for him though (possibly some picks and prospect) and especially not Risto. Just a stupid idea, give them the defenseman they need and we take their third center back? No way, not against them. |

I completely agree.
Maybe a Hoffman situation.
Hoffman to sj, they flip him back to the east (florida)
Kadri to Nashville, then to buffalo.
Nashville gets skinner.
Toronto gets a defenseman from nashville.
Buffalo gets kadri and a taller prospect then tage. |

Right?? I never undertand the love for guys that lead teams into last place..
Alexander, Fred Jackson, Kyle WIlliams. …..all heroes that never led the team ANYWHERE except the basement..
Id rather have douchebags that win divisions... |

I don't mind the concept of a three way trade, but I definitely don't agree with trading Skinner. A) we are making the playoffs this year B) I want to sign him and would pay up to 8.75M (think Botts will get it done at 8.33)

You don't understand why people like extremely hard working, talented and honest straight forward NFL players?
I'd suggest your desire for D-bags may be a reflection on your own path in this life. |

so to all you arm chair GM's, what would you give up for Kadri? Kadri has scored 32 goals the last few years and has a Friendly contract. Perfect #2 center...
HYPOTHETICALLY speaking of course.
What would you offer the Leafs?? |

The first question should be, what do the Leafs need? Then we can make some trade proposals. |
