Per a league source, Panthers assistant special teams coach Heath Farwell has been hired by the #Bills as ST coordinator.

Great hire. Here’s a look from back at training camp at what make him and Panthers ST coordinator Chase Blackburn so, well, special:

What a shock...a Panthers guy

geese, great we can be the panthers without the Super Bowl win.... Well they are predictable if nothing.

I swear if we sign that WR from there I will lose my mind

Great example:

Did management get replaced or just low end employees?

- Boss34

We had a manager resign and make a move to another company, and a few low performing folks were let go. Leadership made goal adjustments for 2019 as well. A lot of it goes through a third party though due to stakeholders...

No one is saying throw in the towel.
They are saying changes need to happen.

People need to be held accountable for a 6-15 record since the 10 game win streak.

- ImThatGuy

Ok. What changes?

You want to sell futures to try to get this team into the playoffs? Call ups are the answer?

Not trying to be an ass, but people are doing more than just asking for changes. Suggesting this is a last place team for instance, is reactionary in my estimation. No?

Well, if you actually READ the reports on him, before assuming, you'd know he was in Carolina for only one year. Has nothing to do w McBeane.

Trade one of your three first round picks and a prospect for a 2nd line center.
You still Have 2 more next year.

They are playing like a last place team since the streak, it is undeniable.

Respectfully, a lot of fans are literally sick and tired of "next year" talking points.

I was a fan of the Bills for a long long time.
Once it got to 15 straight years, I was done with them.
Thank God that I did because it only carried on longer.
Now, I have no emotional interest in the Bills any longer.
If they moved, I might even celebrate.
They have stolen from this city's taxpayers and fans for far too long.
I'll be frank, the NFL and its players disrespectful behavior played a part in turning me away from the NFL and the Bills.

Anyway, the cliched next year....next year...next year talk for fans like me has worn out its welcome.

I'm an Indians fan
I'm a Sabres fan
I was a Bills fan

Forgive me if I am sick and tired of hearing those 2 words, "next year".
I don't have many more "next years" and nor do others.

I'm not in the habit of rewarding failure with my hard earned money, emotions, nor my attention.

I'm sure that I am not the only 'fan' that feels this way.
Patience is waning.

- Over50

I'm right there with ya. About the only football I watch these days is the playoffs. I have zero emotional investment and can just watch a couple of (hopefully) good teams battle it out.

If you truly think they are playing like a last placed team (this isn't undeniable, actually we've been out chancing a lot of teams during this skid), wouldn't you rather not trade away futures?

Sorry but you're wrong and besides the basic statistics the advance stats prove it as well and I am not an advanced stats guy.
- Stripes77

I'm curious to see if/how stats change next year when then begin using chips for tracking. What do they do now, have some guy writing stuff down as he's watching the game?

If they didn't have three first round picks, it would be a different story.

The Sabres need a 2nd line center desperately.

Middlestadt is obviously not ready.

The futures are great, but we are wasting ELC of Dahlin and others.
Stirke now while you still can, it is only going to get harder once you have to start paying Dahlin.

It's my understanding that the conventional wisdom was that Sabres were a bubble play-off team at best this year. They have met those expectations so far. That 10 game win streak may have been the worst thing that happened to this team because it's accelerated expectations in a lot of your minds. Sabres should stay patient and not do what the last GM did. They aren't ready this year, and the kind of changes that need to happen to make them ready are extraordinarily difficult to pull-off at this point in the season. This team isn't going to compete in a 7 game series against teams like Toronto and Tampa Bay. I get the frustration though.

This is a pretty big concern for me

If they don't find a way to fill the holes this roster has before Dahlin's ELC is up and Reinhart is due a new contract (if he is still here) they are going to have to draft to almost perfection to put together a true contending team.

I’m pretty sure you can’t move the SJ nor the StL pick until the conditions are met.

Edit: They can trade the picks back to SJ or StL.

Basically for those who do not have subscriptions:

Both the owners and the NHLPA have cautious optimism about not having a work stoppage.

That there really aren't any major wars to wage (like the hard salary cap)

Him or the Colts OL coach they just let go could do wonders.

This is where i get confused.

SJ traded their first round pick to Buffalo and Ottawa based on conditions.
Can you only trade your own pick?

After claiming Colby Cave on waivers from Boston, the Edmonton #Oilers are currently exceeding the 23 man roster limit by 1 player.

They will need to make another roster move to meet the roster limit.

SJ has moved their 1st 2019 and the 2020.

It’s lottery protected so if they miss the playoffs this year. Ottawa gets the 2019 and we get the 2020. If they make the playoffs we get the 2019 and Ottawa gets the 2020.
