not exactly where I was going, but cool on you to kinda ruin my joke. either way- how is dude not an MVP? when he's going, we're winning, when he's not, we're downright horrible.
- Khmylev

Completely agree. Jack is an MVP and people were mentioning him in that group back when the team was on the streak. He will win that one of these years I believe.

Last night started out so flukey, I'm not going to let that night ruin my hopes for this season. I still think we will be a playoff team.

Moving forward, I liked some of what was happening with our forward lines last night. I would like to see this team constructed as follows:

Skinner-Eichel-Reinhart
Sheary-Mittelstadt-Thompson
Sobotka-Rodrigues- CJ Smith
Girgensons-Larsson-Pominville

benched:Okposo

I don't care how much respect he has in the room or how much he is getting paid, he isn't doing anything out there that is beneficial.

Also, get Lawrence Pilut back on the third pairing.

And play Ullmark the next two games.

THEN, leave it alone, baring injury, for at least five games. Let those lines meld.

True.

I'd love to have him. Don't think Botts, or Kim and Terry for that matter, have given up on Phil yet.

Very possibly true. I think you should always be prepared to upgrade your coaching position, personally.

Imagine being top 18 in the NHL for all defensemen in points on a terrible playing team right now... and some kid behind a keyboard who doesn't even play in an adult league tell you that you aren't good at hockey.

Do all the people who want Quennville realize that he missed the playoffs with what was on paper a better team than what we have now?

Is it possible that Quennville benefited from having a stacked ass chicago team?

Is it possible that perhaps save for a few truly elite coaches, that most are a product of what they have to work with?

Are the issues with the roster about usage? lineups? Would a different coach make Ristolainen less of a liability at 26 minutes a night or is that doomed to fail regardless?

Could a new coach make Kyle Okposo less of a doorknob out there?

Does having a new guy behind the bench address the clear issues of depth both on the blue line and up front?

Babcock might have to bring Datsyuk, Hossa, Zetteberg, Lidstrom, Rafalski out of retirement so he can win another playoff series it’s been that long. It’s a bit of both. The Blackhawks have gotten a lot worse since Q was fired however. Keith and Seabrook are shadows of their former selves

That's what is crazy about the modern NHL, but it creates parity in the league. They won three cups but are now stuck with a bunch of poopty ass contracts.
