Definitely. I wouldn't mind a Dylan Cozens or Kirby Dach . I was hoping the Dmen were stronger but doesn't sound too promising.
- VANTEL

We've drafted enough Dmen go BPA.

In 5 years Benning has made 34 picks 17 fwd, 14 Dmen & 3 Goalies

Trade the POS as soon as possible. He is a Gap Kids goal-suck who thinks swinging his stick is playing defensively. I'm tired of pouting Russians, he can f*ck off now.

I’d say most people couldn’t do that most years.

I don't think anyone on here could name the top 15 from any year without a study aide.

in Brackett we trust.

I do, we've had good drafts since Benning changed up our scouting staff.

They have to keep trying with him at least for a short while unless a trade presents itself. He's still got enough value that putting him on waivers would mean he's gone for nothing.

Hopefully he can pop in a few points in the next few games and work himself into a trade

I’ve read the 2019 draft is suppose to be a better draft than the 2018 draft so I don’t know where you’re reading your negative stuff about this draft?

There’s a ton of depth in this draft, supposedly, there’s just no generational talents, but there wasn’t in the past few drafts either.

Last year was all over the map, like Arizona and Montreal drafting for need because there weren’t any kids outside of Dahlin that separated themselves.

Same as the year before, after Matthews no one could decide if Laine or Puljunarvi should go next. Laine turned out to be the right pick but there’s no real standout stars in Dubois, Puljajarvi or Juolevi who went 3-4-5.

- Pacificgem

This is true.
Although I've read from multiple scouts that both Hughes and to a lessor extent Kakko are franchise players. Hughes is a superior skater to everyone already in the nhl, including McDavid and has magic hands. Many believe he'll be a generational talent.
After those 2 there is a large group of 10 or so players that all could have been top 5 picks in the last draft.
Small drop off to a group that goes deep into the second round of players that would all have been first rounders in the last couple draft years.
It's a deep draft with 4 distinct tiers.

Hughes = McDavid
Kakko = Laine

I don’t remember when Brackett was promoted to head of amateur scouting but in my opinion it’s been one good draft followed by one bad. 2014 poor, 2015 good, 2016 poor, 2017 good, 2018 too early to tell?

Meh, he is too atrocious to even play him at the moment. If they can’t trade him waive him to Tryamkin’s house

CHL drafting is still very questionable, but I agree in general.

I'm hoping for as many non-CHL draft choices as possible next year

Quit talking about yourself Donna, unless you use more caps, you can always use more caps.

Also, this coming from a guy who thinks Bouchard and Dobson will be top pairing defensemen rather then a modern version of Cam Barker and Erik Johnson(nothing wrong with Johnson).

I wonder how jesus would have done playing in the world juniors while suffering from Clamidia contracted whilst hanging out with mdz? Not well.

I'd say 4 in Hughes, Juolevi, Woo and Rathbone

I don't really care about guys who's realistic upside is to be the next Pouliot/Biega/MDZ

Show some quotes from scouts saying that Hughes is already a better skater than any player in the NHL (including macjesus). If you cant produce them, (frank) off and delete your account

I'd be surprised if Rathbone signs. Dude has one of the easiest paths to college FA
