Nice piece on Demko coming up to work with Clark. Makes a lot of sense, he's working with one of the best. - neem55
Thanks for that! I like the idea of Demko working with Clarke. I was super excited when I found out that Clarke was coming back from Columbus to his home town. |

Ya I liked that it gives a bit of insight into the development of goalies, such a different position to understand. I've definitely never got the goalies on my teams, but mad respect. |

Wonder if I'll get ripped a new arse for stating this but...there was no need for retribution by anyone on Pettersson's last injury.
That's right I said the word retribution because someone actually posted there should be retribution. - Makita
Agreed. The second injury was just an accident. No need to go out for blood. That said, if the Canucks want to finish their checks on him the next time they play Montreal I wouldn’t complain.
As for last night, I thought it was kind of silly. It’s better than nothing, I guess, but if you’re not going to respond when it happens then what’s the point? No one is going to go easy on Pettersson because they might get their stick slashed out of their hands two months later. It’s a little like the first regular season game against Boston after the SCF. Yeah, the Canucks won, and it was a big win as far as regular season games go, but it’s not like Boston handed them the cup after. |

Which goalies has Clark worked with in the past? Honest question lol
I think it was Melanson that worked with Schneider/Lack here, right? |

I dunno. Some goalie in Columbus won a couple vezinas with him. Other than that, I'm not sure |

Don't know if he is a bust or not but he is definitely not a good fifth overall pick - VANTEL
Years ago I wanted the Canucks to acquire Burns on the buy low since he was being used a a forward and being shopped. Bust bust bust was the responses I got. I'm trying to remember who was the longest winded about it....Hmmmm.

doesn't matter, the refs and bettman will shut him down in the playoffs. |

So Hextall might be best GM in the world if he worked for a different team? |

Only thing I remember is respecting Wilson for signing Setoguchi to an extension and then just flipping him like a week or 2 later
A lot of other GM’s would’ve said no to Minny if they demanded Setoguchi since it goes against “the code” to do that to a player |

There wasn’t a lot of dodging involved. He demanded a trade and then then gave the Canucks like two teams to work with. I love NTCs.
It’s kind of like the Schneider or Vanek trades. Most were disappointed with the returns at the time, but in hindsight they have worked out in the Canucks favour. |

I’ve heard the league has a dossier outlining how to fck over the Canucks. The trick is to make bad calls against other teams at roughly the same rate as they are made against the Canucks to throw people of the scent. |
