How did they leave out the specific reference that Native American's had their hair cut as a form of persecution? IDK. Covered the small pox in blankets, the massacres, the stealing of land and a lot of the other terrible terrible things. Sorry I missed that ONE SPECIFIC REFERENCE.

I'm not a huge history buff, other than I prefer General Custard in my Boston creme, but even I knew that Native Americans would scalp the white man. In retaliation they would have their hair cut off to shame them since how long it was represented their role in the tribe.

It was just poor taste. Without getting too much into what I do for a living I have on average 400 reports I have to motivate and encourage everyday. Getting them fired up and ready is a big part of it. I've never had to make a racially inclined comment to do so or a crude humor joke. Especially at a family oriented venue. Shawny has previously made poor taste jokes that I've seen though they've never had the racial undertones. Feel bad for the guy but you work in a profession where your words are your career. Chose them wisely.

But yet there were a ton of keyboard warriors on the net this past weekend screaming for people to get over it. Even with me not being of Indian heritage I found it offensive just with my cursory knowledge of the culture.

I have no control over Simmonds leaving. In 20 years I’ve had to watch Lindros, Roenick and Gagne get traded. LeClair got bought out. I’ll survive a Simmonds trade.

My issue is this idea that he’s automatically useless. That’s a dream world I don’t live in.
