I thoroughly enjoy seeing Button flip so heavily on his lists of best NHL-affiliated prospects this year VS his 2018 draft ranking. You can see why his word on junior prospects should be taken with a sizeable grain of salt.

His first goal wasn't a weak shot by any means..... converted a turnover (terrible pass) into a goal in the first place. Nobody would have expected that from Lucic at this current rate.

Sure Lucic is 99% likely to never be the same Lucic from the Bruins/LA again, but lets not bash a player (through your sarcasm) when something good actually happens to him. He played a good game yesterday (non-sarcastically) by taking advantage of the opportunities given. Sure he had a bit of luck, but if this is the kickstart to even a Lucic who can play bottom 6 minutes well enough, gods be praised maybe even bottom 9, to provide positives for the team, then by all means, I'll take it.
