I think the deal with Hamilton, coming from a flames fan is he has little to no interest in say team building. While the young flames are damn near a family calling each other all the time going places and so on and when you don't want that your traded. Which well having a good look the flames did ok, if Hamilton is traded again to a contender it probably wont end up well and go from contender to miss.
Just sayin, the flames missed and didn't change that much really! |

Dale Weiss on waivers more than likely means he is headed to the AHL.
That also means that someone could be coming back from the AHL....
Personally, Bring back Vorobyev and Aube-Kubel. Waive Lehtera.
And please keep Lindblom on one line so he can settle in and stop having to be something different for his linemates every other shift. - wbon22
First, the Weise move looks like a bit of salary clearing as much as a hockey move. So don't be surprised if the Flyers pick up a pricey contract...like a goalie. Second, if there's a current Phantom who could use some NHL time it's Phil Myers.
On that first topic, Jimmy Howard makes $5.5M and would be a good, aging mentor for Carter Hart. |

After reading this roomer the only (realistic) thing Edmonton has that the Leafs would want is Nurse. They don't need another backup goalie. They don't need a 1st in what's being regarded as a weak draft year. They don't need any more bottom 3 / bottom 6 wingers. Chia is incompetent but he's not dealing Nurse when he still has term, and not dealing Larsson because it would make the Hall trade look even worse if that's possible. |

Why.... do the Oilers... need another forward?
Go get some competent bodies on D. I know, easier said than done, but the assets are there. |

The Leafs not being in on Hamilton doesn't baffle me none - Ham was the flagship piece of a trade Calgary makes with Boston, where it was rumored he sucked in the locker room. A year later he's out to Carolina as the flagship piece, now A YEAR LATER he's dangled? He's got to be a withering presence if 3 GMS flip an RD of his talent every single year. Given how good he is, he must be a SERIOUS tool. Irrespective, all of this doesn't pass Dubas' sniff test, nor should it. |

The Blues seem to have salvaged their season and are trending up. I doubt they make any trades that don’t significantly benefit them at this point, unless they could possibly move Allen (where I’m sure they’d get fleeced). |

Why would the Leafs want Hamilton.. Yes he is a top D-Man in the league(something that everyone wants) yet he will be heading to his 4th team. Carolina paid a big price for him and 40 games into having him on the roster they are trying to dump him.
Why have 3 teams given up on a bonafide top pairing D-man? - Azuredoom
I questioned this as well. |

Because prior to losing Klefbom and Russell, they were top-10 in GA/game and weren't getting caved in possession. Meanwhile, they've consistently been bottom-10 in GF/game and bottom of the league by a WIIIIIDE margin in depth scoring (goals not scored by there top-4).
Offense has been the bigger problem for the better part of two years now. |

I like Lindblom with Patrick. He shouldn't be on the 4th line. Hopefully Simmonds gets into a hot streak and brings back a high return before the trade deadline? It would be nice to see Fletch pick up a quality scorer, too, but that's unlikely. I agree that the Flyers should bring up some youngsters from the AHL and see how they perform? |

Ahh Weise...Yet another boneheaded signing by Hextall. Hear alot about Holmgren, and his moves, but Hextall, in a shorter time , made some boneheaded ones too that are ignored by the same people |
