doesnt look like it

If I think back, I read a lot about how Andersen was one of the best in the league, vezina discussion.. one of the best GSAA in the league...

if you lose that type of goaltending... its harder to win games

weird

trade nylander!

Well same Dudes also think Hamilton is not just an offensive D man.. but a good all around D that can play top pair.

so if that bumps each of the current RHD down...isnt that good?

- senstroll

Some people want a d man that can be good when the leafs are stuck in their zone. (frank) getting it out I just a Hainsey.

Agreed. We need a guy (or two) that is not afraid to be physical and break up a cycle. Must be able to make a good first pass and be able to skate with the puck.

Anything that moves Zaitsev out of our top 4 is a good thing. So, I accept your premise
- PatC80

Just need to find a way to get Paryenko and Hamilton

Marleau has to go, just simply his contract and Zeitsev, and then Hainsey
that frees up 13 mil

oh and Gardiner is gone

to be fair.. Andersen will need a couple of games to get back to his normal play

'at least 8-10 games according to the medical staff' .. that's what they said about Big Willy, right?

Team that needs the scoring the most doesn't even seem to want Nylander.

*if you can trust EK

The Leafs don't want to trade Kapanen....that is clear. He has been solid and is one of their better two way forwards among a group of forwards that isn't take enough of the blame for the defensive issues in Toronto... The Leafs are interested in Ferland and Brett Pesce...The Leafs would rather move Nylander, but to this point it appears only the Wild and Vancouver are willing to discuss Nylander at all..

LeBrun said he’s talked to some GM’s who say the Leafs 1st round pick is very in play.
- Santo_44

Do GMs tell the media what other teams are doing?

If so, which is possible, can you tweet LeBrun to ask GMs what Matthews and Marner are gonna make? And what the plan is for Point and Rantanen?

Cheers

I assumed you meant we need to trade for a guy that can play that style..

They don't tell the media anymore.

They go straight to guys on Twitter and bloggers.

Perhaps you've heard of Hockey Insiderrrrrrrrrrr?

He gets all the scoops these days.

Yes. It’s how guys like LeBrun have jobs. They have connections to league executives and GMs. LeBrun quotes plenty of anonymous GMs in his articles on the Athletic.

It’s a very simple concept.

I wouldn't say "anonymous".. he uses Dundon's name a lot. Doesn't even try to hide it either. Has never referred to him as "Dom Tundon"

Sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn’t. It depends on if it’s information that the GM would rather not let other GMs know that they were giving information out.

LeBrun, like Bob Mac has plenty of contacts. When he gives rumours out they are coming from a good source.

Not Kyle Dubases sisters friends dog like Ek.

Aaah i see.

I never used to like the whole "unnamed executive", or "unnamed GM".

Leads one to believe you're just making poop up

I suppose time will tell. If we haven't traded our 1st, Bracco, Sandin, Liljegren, Kapanen, Nylander, Johnsson, and Kadri by the deadline, I'll remain skeptical.

Score adjusted....what's this even mean? CF% goes up when you're trailing in the game...same as HDCF%

Well by the sounds of it they want a top 4 D with term and are willing to part with their 1st and some prospects to do so.

Which makes a lot of sense when you consider Gardiner is likely gone next season.

It does make sense. I've heard every single Leafs forward mentioned as well as all prospects and all picks are/have been in play as well. Doesn't seem like Dubas is too bothered about which players, picks and prospects are being moved.

Hopefully, he's moved past the Marner for Gudbranson deal one of the hockey "insiders" suggested he was possibly looking at.

Is Kyper an insider? Because i'd hope Dubas didn't want to do a Marner for Tanev deal either.
